"Log & Sauna Nagomi, Wakayama" is a private log house located in the marginal village of Kamitomobuchi in Kinokawa City, Wakayama Prefecture. Conveniently located 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Osaka city, this spacious accommodation is limited to one group per day, so you can relax with your family or friends. [Overview] Area: Total 235㎡ (Accommodation building: 95㎡, Outdoor area: 140㎡) Capacity: 1-8 people Enjoy this time of feeling with all five senses, freely and in your own way. The space ■Accommodation building The log house, where you can enjoy nature and modern design, uses plenty of local cedar wood from Wakayama, and the warmth and texture of the wood harmonizes with the surrounding forest. The area is rich in nature, the air is delicious, and you can smell the soft scent of the forest. It's very quiet, so if you listen carefully you can hear the rustle of the forest and the chirping of birds. All water used is natural spring water. At night, there are no street lights, so a sky full of stars spreads out above your head. ■Sauna The barrel sauna uses 100% Kishu cypress Akane wood from Wakayama prefecture. Wakayama was originally called “Kishu, the land of trees.” 77% of the prefecture's land is covered by forest. The wood produced in Wakayama Prefecture is called "Kishu wood". It has been used as a valuable forest resource since ancient times. Akane wood is wood that has been damaged by an insect called "Suginoakanetora Kamikiri". Due to the unsightly appearance (holes and discoloration) due to feeding damage, it has the negative effect that it cannot be used for general wood. However, the problem is only in appearance. Qualitatively, it is the same as regular Kishu wood. We consider these moth-eaten marks to be unique, we put it in the sauna. ■Open-air water bath The open-air bath uses natural spring water drawn from the river. Kamitomobuchi, where our facility is located, has water so clean and clear that many fireflies live there. The open-air bath uses this water to cool down your hot body from the sauna and provide you with the ultimate comfort. It also has a faucet that produces hot water, so it can also be used as a hot bath. ■Relaxing in the outside air Entrust yourself to the outdoor bathing space surrounded by nature and feel nature with all five senses. You can hear the soft scent of the forest, the rustle of the forest, and the chirping of birds. By breathing slowly, you can feel the flow of blood and feel like you are one with nature. We have designed conductors inside the spacious wooden deck so that you can smoothly move barefoot from the sauna to the cold bath to the outdoor space. Unrestricted by time, enjoy nature to your heart's content. Enjoy the ultimate relaxing time without being disturbed. ■BBQ terrace After sauna, enjoy a meal on the barbecue terrace next to the sauna. It is a space where you can feel the openness of being one with nature. Wakayama is rich in meat, seafood, and mountain produce, and no matter what you eat, it's truly delicious. Please bring your favorite food and drinks and enjoy the deliciousness of Wakayama's proud ingredients. *Although there are chairs on the barbecue terrace, you are welcome to arrange your own outdoor equipment such as tents and tarps as you like. Please feel free to spend your time during your stay. Guest access Please feel free to use the log house and the outdoor area adjacent to the log house. Other things to note ■Smoking Smoking is strictly prohibited within the accommodation building. Ashtrays are provided on the barbecue terrace. Please refrain from letting the smell of cigarettes enter the accommodation building. ■Regarding sauna use Our hotel's sauna is an outdoor sauna, We ask that you wear a swimsuit. Sauna poncho is available for rental（upper limit of 5th place）, but we ask that you bring your own swimsuit. ■Parking Spaces The parking lot is located on a narrow road, so if you are coming in a large car, please be careful and ask passengers to guide each other. ■Winter season Kamitomobuchi is a cold region located at a high altitude. If you have made a reservation between November and March, please dress warmly. If you are coming by car, we recommend that you use studless tires. ■Bonfires Bonfires are prohibited at this Hotel. There is a fireplace inside the log house. ■Water usage This facility pumps natural water from the river and uses it for its water supply. Therefore, please be aware that the water may be slightly cloudy when used after stormy weather. * Specialized testing has confirmed that there are no problems with the water quality. Please refrain from using it as drinking water. As we are using a precious water resource, please refrain from leaving the water running. * If you forget to turn off the water when you go to bed, there is a risk of a temporary water outage. ■Fireplace (wood stove) ・For safety reasons, we only provide firewood and fire starters for the fireplace during the winter season (from late November to late February). ・When using the fireplace, please be sure to refer to the usage manual.
