Welcome to our Tharavadu. Tharavadu comes from the word for ancestral home and refers to a system of the joint family once practised in Kerala. We are pleased to introduce this property, a 130-year lineage, lovingly restored and maintained to modern standards. We hope that you will enjoy your stay and that the carefully curated art and furniture will be available to you during your stay. The house is officially certified "Diamond House" standard by the Kerala Tourism Department. The space With 2500 sq feet of living space, the Tharavadu is within 1 acre of farm and private property secured with walls and security cameras. To ensure sustained living, the house has traditional earthen-tilled roofing and handmade Anthangudi tile flooring. The three bedrooms are spacious with individual attached bathrooms. Every bathroom has a WC and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities and utensils and a secure outdoor area for gathering, cooking, and BBQ amenities. We have a working organic vegetable farm in the grounds and source our vegetables from the farm. Guest access In addition to the Tharavadu, you will have access to a private living space by the lake, a minute's walk from the Tharavadu. There are Yoga, Kayaking, and Boating facilities available. Private mooring space and a jetty offer the ideal place to enjoy sunsets by Astamudi Lake. Other things to note We can accommodate your dietary requirements and provide traditional Kerala meals, including "Sadhya," at your request and an additional price. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks can also be arranged at extra cost. We can coordinate this once you have confirmed your booking. Of course, you are welcome to use our well-equipped kitchen to prepare your own meals at no additional cost. We also offer airport pick-ups and drop-offs and can arrange chauffeur-driven cars if needed.
