Jungle Villa - Pool Villa with Tropical Garden

This is your private home away from the noisy beach clubs. You'll have the pool and garden to yourself, with no other guests. It's perfect for groups as the 5 bedrooms can fit up to 11.5 people, but solo travellers will also enjoy it. There is a strong internet connection, desks, a solar backup in case of power cuts, bicycles for hire and a small pool bar where we sell soft drinks and local beer. We can arrange a cook or driver for you if we know in advance. The space The house is around 1.8 kilometers from the beach in Paje in a quiet and green area with a garden and swimming pool, which will be perfect for a private and relaxing holiday. Design is our passion. All furniture has been made by local craftsmen. We try to use natural and local materials. Also, we want to switch completely to solar electricity in the future. At the moment we use solar mainly as an electricity backup system. Our house has 2 floors. Each floor has its separate entrance. On each floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen and living/dining room. Unless the entire house is booked, the kitchen and other areas except for the bedrooms might be shared with other guests. Here under this listing, you would rent the entire house with the garden with no other guests at the property. Only our gardener, cleaning, and security service would be around from time to time. In other listings on Airbnb, it is also possible to rent only parts of the house, but the calendars are connected, once you book here there will be no other bookings during that time. Location As mentioned above, the villa is about 1.8 km from the beach and there are stores, restaurants, and ATMs on the way. The beach can be reached by foot in around 30 min or by car in a few minutes. The beach in Paje it famous for Kitsurfing and its beauty. Moreover, the house is about 50 km from the Airport in Zanzibar. Bedrooms There are 3 bedrooms (2x2P; 1x2,5P) on the upper floor (one day bed in one bedroom could be used for 1 child - 0,90 by 1,80cm); and 2 bedrooms (1x2P; 1x3P) on the ground floor. All bedrooms have their own bathroom incl. towels and shampoo/shower gel. The bedrooms have separate keys to lock them. Moreover, a wardrobe and other furniture like a desk are provided. Breakfast At the moment, we do not offer breakfast. However, you will usually find some coffee, pasta or rice, oil, salt, and pepper in the kitchen for your free use and sharing. Bicycles We currently have 6 bicycles at the property. They can be used for a small charge of 2 USD per day. In case of a loss or damage, we might charge replacement costs of 70 USD. Co-working We offer a strong internet connection and working desks in the bedrooms. Moreover, the house is in a quiet area, and we have also windows with double glass which reduces the noise. AC/Ceiling Fan All rooms have a Ceiling fan (except for the kitchen/ bathrooms/stores). In addition to the fan, all bedrooms have also Air conditioning. TV On each floor, there is a TV in the living room. There is internet TV and Netflix. Washing Machine There is one washing machine in the kitchen on the upper floor of the house. Kitchen On each floor there is a fully equipped kitchen ready for use. Mosquito nets All sliding windows and doors have mosquito nets. Taxi/Transfer We can arrange a transfer to and from the airport for a charge of 40-50 USD. Please let us know at least a few hours in advance about the transfer if possible. Moreover, for transfer from and to the beach or the shops, we recommend you take one of the motorbike taxis (boda-boda). They will bring you to or from the beach for a small charge of approx. 2,000 to 5,000 Shillings or 1 or 2 USD. Water 1 drinking water dispenser with 20 L will be provided in each kitchen for free. They can be refilled for a small charge. Moreover, all bathrooms have hot water. WIFI Connection: Zanlink Broadband Internet 5-7 Mbits Security We have 4 outdoor security cameras with an alarm and an electric fence with an alarm. Solar-Electricity Back-up System In case of a general electricity outage, which happens from time to time in Zanzibar, our solar system will be activated. Please note that we have covered with this backup system the Wi-Fi, water supply, most of the sockets, most of the fans, the TV, and the electric fence. However, the ACs and some kitchen parts might not work during the electricity outage. Parking You can park your car inside the garden for free. Rentals We can assist you with car or motorbike rentals. Prices: a car rental per day costs around 35 USD and a motorbike around 25 USD per day. Please contact us if you need further information. We recommend our guests if they rent a car to rent a 4x4 Jeep/Rav4 as the roads off the main road can often be a bit bumpy like the one to our house. However, it is also possible to come with a normal car which is not extra low, if you drive carefully. Pool-Bar At our pool bar, we sell local beer and soft drinks for a small charge while stocks last. Guest access The entire house can be used including the garden, swimming pool, pool bar, and pergola. There will be no other guests during the stay.
