From spring to autumn, you can hike, pick fruit, and have an outdoor barbecue on the terrace!You can also use it as a base for water activities such as canyoning and SUP. In winter, use it as a base for skiing and snowboarding, including Naeba. I recommend it as a base for hot springs.(It is a good location, about a 5-minute drive to Yujuku Onsen, about 10 minutes to Sarugakyo Onsen, about 23 minutes to Hoshi Onsen, which is famous for its secret hot springs, and about 40 minutes to Shimanizen-kan, which is said to have become the model of "Chihiro no Kami".)
