The building has evolved and been extended over generations, creating a distinctive U-shaped layout centred around a large, enclosed courtyard, with a main entrance gate and additional side gates providing access. The rental accommodation occupies the private side wing of the historic farmhouse and has its own separate external entrance opening onto the central courtyard. With its thick traditional stone walls, original shuttered windows and private entrance, the property offers both privacy and excellent insulation, keeping it cool in summer and cosy during the cooler months. The accommodation features two generously sized bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. The spacious farmhouse-style kitchen and living area provide a comfortable and welcoming space for relaxing and dining, combining traditional character with modern comforts. The property is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout and benefits from both air conditioning and heating. Surrounded on three sides by the old farmhouse, with its exposed stone walls and climbing ivy, and enclosed by a traditional stone wall along the front, this beautifully maintained courtyard provides a peaceful and private outdoor space to relax and dine. The courtyard features a BBQ and a shaded outdoor dining area, making it perfect for enjoying meals outdoors. Two side gates provide easy access to the rest of the property: one leads to the large white-gravel parking area, while the other leads along a private pathway onto the pool area and covered seating area at the rear of the property. Here, you can unwind by the pool or relax in the shade while taking in the stunning, uninterrupted views across the surrounding countryside. The property sits on 5 acres of level fields, a vineyard and a well maintained pine woodland. You can roam freely and join the many farm tracks that lead you all around the surrounding countryside. Other things to note The remaining two wings of the historic farmhouse are occupied by the owners and their family. However, the property is spacious and exceptionally well insulated, with the separate living areas thoughtfully arranged to ensure complete privacy for guests. Although the owners live on the property, you are unlikely to hear or even encounter them during your stay.
