Upon entering, you will find a hallway with a practical built-in closet, ideal for storing bags and clothes. From here you can access the bright living room with an open-plan kitchen, where you can already catch a glimpse of the beautiful view of the Majella from the living area. 🍳 The kitchen The kitchen is a practical kitchenette, ideal for preparing breakfast, a quick lunch, or a dinner to be enjoyed comfortably at home. It is equipped with a 3-burner stove, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, and everything you need to cook and set the table: pots, pans, baking sheets, plates, glasses, cutlery, and cups. Opposite the kitchen, you'll find the dining table, perfect for sharing a meal or starting the day with a good breakfast. 🛏️ The bedroom The bedroom is a simple and quiet space, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the Majella and its surroundings. It has a comfortable double bed, a bedside table, and a large coat rack, which is convenient for storing clothes during your stay. For stays of up to 4 people, the sofa bed in the living room offers 2 additional beds. 🌄 The balcony and the view The real star of the house is the private balcony, from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the Majella. It's the perfect place to start the day with an outdoor breakfast, relax after a hike, or enjoy an aperitif while the sun sets over the mountains. Towels, a hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel are provided, so you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. 📍 Palena and its surroundings Casa Gioconda is located in Palena, one of the most beautiful historic towns in Italy, nestled in the heart of the Majella National Park. Here you can experience the mountains without necessarily having to travel: between hikes, trails, canyoning, and outdoor activities, there is so much to discover. In Palena, you can visit the Ducal Castle and the Geopaleontological Museum, discover the Brown Bear Wildlife Area, reach the Hermitage of the Madonna dell'Altare, and stroll among nature and views. 🌿 Nearby, you will find the Acquevive River Park and the Cavallone Caves. Roccaraso and Fara San Martino are about 20 minutes away by car, while Pescocostanzo, Campo di Giove, Pacentro, and Roccascalegna are other wonderful destinations to explore. And for everyday needs, you don't need to go anywhere: groceries, the post office, and restaurants are just a short walk from the house.
