Description

Aisho is a one-day inn located on the north side of Mt. Tsukuba, a 20-minute drive from the center of Tsukuba City. We renovated a traditional house that was built 80-90 years ago using natural materials from the rich countryside. We are particular about using amenities and bedding that are good for "sleep", and about using "natural" building materials and paints, and you will be greeted by the soft scent of wood as soon as you step in. And we have created a space where you can experience Japanese aesthetics with a modern twist. Heal yourself with the air, sleep deeply with peace of mind, and have a great day ahead. About the space There are many precautions, so please check them. The space This is a private rental inn located in the shopping district of Hojo, at the foot of Mt. Tsukuba, in a renovated 80-90 year old traditional house. The fixtures and furniture are refurbished and used, and the works made by craftsmen are arranged based on the theme of the building, making it a creative space. It is a place where you can spend your everyday life in a special way, find something special in your everyday life, look outside without doing anything, or just be here without doing anything. The surrounding area is an old-fashioned shopping district, and it is not a convenient place, but if you go a little further, there are places where you can take a pleasant walk, such as Rinrin Road, a pond and ruins rich in nature, and a winery. There are many great cafes and restaurants around Tsukuba station, which is a 20-minute drive away. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy retro cafes and specialty shops during the day. There are few shops at night, but if you wish, we will guide you at check-in. We also recommend cooking for yourself. We have cooking utensils and dishes available for you to enjoy your meal. There is a local supermarket nearby. You can use the writer's cooking utensils and dishes, but please be careful when handling delicate equipment. Please note that this is a renovated 90-year-old building, and even the building materials are rich in nature, so please consider this if you don't like insects. We clean and check carefully before check-in, but sometimes spiders may appear. No smoking, including heated tobacco, indoors or outdoors. Please read the following details to prevent any misunderstandings. As a private rental accommodation, there is no 24-hour front desk, but we will help you as much as possible to make your trip memorable. If you need any assistance during your stay, please let us know and we'll get back to you as soon as possible, but please understand that we may be late for assistance in the middle of the night. We aim to provide a space where people mainly in their 30s and older can spend time calmly and quietly. For children, there are many delicate fixtures and interior materials in the room, so the basic information is that it is "not suitable for children", but it is possible to stay. Please also let us know the age of your minor child at time of booking. (This is a good opportunity to experience art and stay, so please tell your children what kind of place it is before your stay, and I would like you to experience it together) Natural materials We use natural materials in the bedrooms, hallways, and paint in the building, and even in places you can't see, so you can feel at ease. Bedrooms First floor: Japanese-style room "Persimmon Room" 3 futon sets Sleep on a soft tatami mat with a highly absorbent futon. There is a separate washroom and toilet. From the window, you can see the old persimmon tree and the alley garden. Ground floor living room: There is a sofa bed. Second floor: Japanese-style room, "Cocoon Room" 2 futon sets This is a Japanese-style room of about 10 tatami mats where you can rest on the soft tatami mats of the main straw mat with highly absorbent futons. You can experience a different space with the thatched floor and bamboo lamp. From the window on the second floor, you can see the streets of Hojo. Bath Relax in the large wooden (Takano Matsu) bath with the natural oils and aromas of wood. * Due to the nature of the wood, please do not put bath salts or soap in the bathtub. * The bath is filled with precious underground water. Please be considerate and avoid excessive use of hot water and soap to reduce the environmental impact of wastewater treatment. Amenities Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap Towels and bath towels (all good Japanese products) Toothbrushes, cotton swabs, cotton (organic bamboo) Kitchen A Marzen commercial three-burner stove is available for your use. The full kitchen is stocked with almost everything you need, including tools, cooking utensils, and chopsticks. There are some basic condiments such as soy sauce, oil, salt, sugar, and pepper, but not many, so please bring your own if you have any preferences. There is a water purifier and it can handle drinking water. Please refrain from purchasing plastic bottles as much as possible and bring your own bottles. Living space There is no TV. There is WiFi, but the signal can be unstable. Guest access Free parking is available next to the building. (Parking available for 2 vehicles) There is a private alley garden on the premises, and you can enter the garden. Please refrain from entering the parking area beyond that. Please do not enter areas marked STAFF ONLY/PRIVATE. * We do not allow anyone other than those included in the reservation to enter the room. Other things to note In order to provide a pleasant space and a pleasant time for both parties, we have provided descriptions as specific as possible. It wouldn't have been unfortunate if there was a mismatch. Please read this before your stay. * Damage and stains If anything on the premises is damaged or stained, you may be responsible for the cost of returning to the original state. In particular, it is easy to be damaged in buildings using solid wood, and there are delicate items such as ceramics in the room. Please be mindful of your handling. * We do not provide vegetables or rice in your review, and are not included in the services of this site. * We do not allow commercial photography or video shoots. * Please do not take home the equipment in the building. * It is located in a shopping area and a residential area. It is facing the road from morning to evening, so there is a car street and the sound of cars. * Please close the windows after 21:00 and be mindful of the noise to the neighborhood. * Absolutely no smoking in the building. * There is a security camera at the entrance and back door with guidance from the health center. * We suggest dinner on the night of arrival for overseas guests who come directly from the airport.Example: "Japanese side dishes and rice balls made with organic vegetables and fermented sauce" from 5,500 yen for 2 people. * Ishomo Morning: We can prepare a morning meal with delicious local ingredients for you to enjoy a refreshing morning.Example: "German bread and seasonal appetizers" will be prepared for 1540 yen per person. You can use the above meal as an additional option after confirming your request via message. Registration Details Hotels and Inns Business Act | 茨城県つくば保健所 | つ保指令第89号
