Tucked away on a secluded mountain road, this hand hewn Appalachian-style log cabin sits on 4 wooded acres of private property. Inside you will find grand vaulted ceilings with a loft bedroom and a finished basement area. Relax on the back porch, in the hot tub, or beside a cozy outdoor fire. Enjoy the tea & coffee bar with a variety of brewing options. 4x4/AWD highly recommended! 4x4 mandatory @times, ask ahead The space Torben Hytte ("Thunder Bear Cabin" ⚡️🐻) is a 1982 log cabin that sits at elevation 3,170 feet within the High Country! The property extends across the gravel road to a tumbling creek below. The cabin has three levels: the main living area, the upper loft, and the basement area. The main living area is heated with baseboard heaters and also has a gas fireplace. The basement area is heated with a gas wall heater. There is 1 full bathroom on the main living area and 2 half bathrooms in the upper loft and in the basement area. The upper loft has a king bed with ample closet space. There is an also queen bed in the basement area. Bed linens, towels, and wash rags are all provided. There are specific black-and-white towels to be used for the hot tub. These are located in the basement. High-speed internet is available throughout the entire cabin! Enjoy your streaming services on the TVs in the main living area and in the basement. There are also multiple board games, puzzles, cards, books, and Legos for guest to enjoy. Have fun with the full-size foosball table down in the basement area! Would you like a fresh cup coffee or tea? Well there are a variety of complimentary options available at the coffee & tea bar. Enjoy a pour over, French press, Keurig, or the classic coffee pot for all your coffee needs. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessary items to prepare any meal. There is a full size fridge, gas stove, microwave, and toaster. After your meal, there is a dishwasher to clean everything. Extra cleaning supplies are located under the sink. The porch is accessed from the main living area. From there, you can over look the back yard and sit and enjoy yourself at the cafe-style table. Are you sore from hiking or traveling? Or looking to relax a little bit more?? Then just walk right out the basement door to the hot tub! This is the perfect setting to unwind and relax, especially at night or during the cooler months. There is a stone fire pit out back to use along with Adirondack-style chairs. Firewood will be provided. Guest access Guest have access to the entire cabin. There are locked owner's closets in the kitchen, loft bathroom, and down in the basement area. We respectfully ask Guest to not access these areas. AT YOUR OWN RISK, Guest may also roam around in the cabin's 4 acres. Be aware, there are no maintained trails and the wooded property is mostly sloped.
