Universal Studios and City Walk is a 10 min walk and from the Universal City Metro Station you can easily access Hollywood, Downtown, Pasadena, Santa Monica and Culver City. It's a longer hike (40 min) to the north entrance of Runyon Canyon - LA's famous hiking hotspot where you can frequently spot celebrities. Lake Hollywood, the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory and Griffith Park are also easily accessible by car (10-15min).
