Riverview Retreat w/ Sauna

Overlooking the New River in the southern portion of the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve the Riverview Retreat offers a great escape from everyday life. The main portion of the house has an open floor plan consisting of kitchen, dining and living room. Two bedrooms with en suite baths can sleep 6. There are three futons, half bath and laundry in the basement. The house features a 30x22 foot deck that is partially covered with a patio set, barrel sauna and Blackstone grill. The space The main level of the house features an open floor plan with a kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook all meals at the house. The dinning room table seats 6 and the kitchen island seats 2. The living room has a large couch that overlooks the New River and has a 43" Smart TV. There are two bed rooms with en suite baths on the main level. Both bathrooms have a bathtub. One bedroom has two queen size beds, two nightstands with UBS Lamps, and a closet. The other bedroom has one queen size bed, two nightstands with USB lamps and closet. There is a spiral staircase that connects the ground level walk out basement with the main portion of the house. The partially finished basement features three futons, TV, coffee table, games and puzzles in the corner cabinet, 1/2 bath, and washer and dryer. The highlight of the house is the 30X22 foot partially covered deck with table and chairs that seat 8, barrel sauna, and Blackstone that can be used like a grill. Enjoy your meals outside while overlooking the New River. The house is ideally located close to I-64 and a 20 minute drive to Hinton (+10 minutes to Sandstone Falls), 20 minutes to Beckley, 30 minutes to Winterplace Ski Resort, 30 minutes to Lewisburg and the WV State Fair, and 50 minutes to Fayetteville and the New River Gorge Bridge. We offer guided tours (your bike or ours) and motorcycle rentals. Contact us for more information. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and yard. There is a curtained off area in the half bath in the basement in which we store personal supplies. We kindly ask our guest not to enter that area or use those supplies. Other things to note Welcome to Our Riverview Retreat! The main entrance to the house is up a beautiful wide staircase that leads to the deck and into the kitchen. Alternatively, you can access the house from the ground level by entering through the partially finished basement, then making your way up a charming narrow spiral staircase to the main living area. For ease, we recommend bringing your luggage up the staircase to the deck. Please Note: The house is located just across the street from an active railroad, and while trains do not follow a fixed schedule in this area, you may hear them at various times throughout the day and night. There are neighbors on either side of the property, about 50 yards away, and they are generally quiet and respectful. House Rules & Amenities: No pets No smoking in the house or on the deck, porch, patio, or any covered areas. A $500 fee will be charged for violations. No events, parties, large groups, or subleasing. Essentials & Comfort: Hand and dish soap are provided for your convenience. Wifi is available throughout the property. For the basement futons, we provide 1 blanket and 1 comforter per futon. Sheets and pillows are also included. If you plan to use more than one futon, feel free to bring extra blankets for added comfort. A Smart TV with basic cable and Roku channels is provided. You can also log in to your own streaming accounts like Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, Peacock, HBO Max, etc.
