Guests can enjoy miles of private wooded trails, Eton Lake and Clark Mountain, stunning views of the Adirondacks and access to the AuSable River. The space About this space: The cabin is secluded in the woods of the quiet AuSable Acres village. It is well suited for couples, families with children, and small groups of friends seeking to enjoy time together, relax and make great memories. The cabin sleeps 6 and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The location is unbeatable - enjoy the convenience of nearby Whiteface Mountain, offering world-class skiing and snowboarding during the winter months, as well as hiking and mountain biking trails for year-round activities. Tucked away in the woods but convenient to Lake Placid for shopping, fine dining and nightlife. Local area attractions include Whiteface Mountain, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games (15 minutes), Lake Placid (30 minutes), Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Wilmington and Santa’s Workshop (15 minutes), Keene Valley, Adirondack Loj and the High Peaks Wilderness (20 min), and hundreds of lakes and ponds. Board games and children’s books. Downstairs TV den with futon offers extra space to relax. Private deck with view of the backyard and forest, and a mix of sun and shade during the day. Outdoor gas Weber Spirit grill with propane tanks included. Fire pit and Adirondack chairs. Private driveway. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Wall air conditioning unit in the main room cools the kitchen, living room and loft. One ceiling fan and two floor fans. Office nook in the loft above the main level with webcam, monitor, keyboard and speakers. Guests can just hook up a laptop. Eero mesh 1Gb Fios high-speed wireless internet throughout the house. Guest access Guests can enjoy the entire chalet except the garage and a couple of owner closets in the laundry room. Other things to note The cabin is in a rural mountain area and provides a great cabin experience if you plan appropriately. The main road is paved and the side roads are well maintained dirt roads. From November through March, ice and snow could make driving difficult and you may need an AWD vehicle or risk being stuck in the neighborhood. Bug spray is a must to keep bugs away in the warm season. Guests should be able to manage steep stairs regularly when staying at the chalet. The staircase to the ground floor is narrow. Please excuse us for not welcoming pets. The house uses a septic tank. Please help us keep it working properly by only flushing toilet paper down the toilet. Don't flush cooking grease, oil, or non-flushable wipes because they can clog the system. Loud parties and playing music at full volume late at night is disrespectful to neighbors and against AuSable Acres regulations. We want you to have a fun time while respecting other guests and residents of the Acres. Please help us keep the peace and quiet of our beautiful village. Please do not bring additional people to sleep at the chalet beyond the number of people on your official Airbnb reservation. The chalet has outdoor security cameras for your safety and will detect unauthorized guests. If you have to update the number of people in your party, please call or text us in advance so we can prepare the chalet and provide you with a good experience. There are four external security cameras overlooking the doors and driveway. There are no cameras inside the house – we respect your privacy.
