You will be close to everything when you stay in this freshly renovated and centrally located home, with a view of the Atlantic Ocean's Bay of Fundy, and just minutes from historical Uptown, hospitals, funeral homes, universities, Bayshore Beach and Reversing Falls. The space This well appointed home is sure to please - from its views of the ocean and the Partridge Island lighthouse - to the sounds of train whistles and foghorns off in the distance. You can see the Nova Scotia coast 28Km away on a clear day and hear the waves lapping the shore of Bayshore Beach when all is still at night. Built originally for the family of the colourful Jack McNulty, a former merchant seaman who became president of an international trading company, you will have easy access to many attractions, while experiencing all the comforts of home. Original trim work, pocket doors and other vintage features abound, with a new mini-split heating and cooling system, new kitchen appliances and new bathroom fixtures for your comfort. Cosy and comfy bedrooms guarantee a good night's sleep after a day exploring the area's numerous historical sights and breathtaking natural beauty. Come, make McNulty House your home away from home! Guest access There is a shared front entrance to the house for both downstairs (where you'll stay) and up. Once you enter the alcove, your door will be on the left. The access code to the two keypads will be provided when you are close to checking in. Please do not use the back door to the home, nor go past the kitchen's back door except in emergency, as this a private residence. If you provide your own charcoal, you may use the BBQ grill out back; if you provide your own wood, you may use the fire ring. With either, please use the water hose by the back door to put a fire out cold. There is a doorbell by the front door; please use this only if you need to speak to me immediately. Other things to note Please do not intentionally interact with any dogs you may observe on the property, and please do not let any cats into the house, no matter how hard they may beg you! In the first bedroom, there is a single (twin) bed. Under it is a trundle bed you can pull out and raise up. If using the remote for the heat pump (located in the living room), you must walk towards the unit, then point the remote directly at the unit for it to work. Please do not adjust the radiant heat system thermostat (located in the front room/workspace) without contacting me first. Please do not attempt lighting a fire in the dining room fireplace; it has not had a properly working flue in decades and you could well die from smoke inhalation if you attempted it. The pocket doors are not entirely functional and are best left in the walls.
