Description

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay! Creekside cabin overlooks a stocked trout stream. Guests have access to 50 acres of property that backs up to the Pond Mountain Wilderness in Cherokee National Forest. Property is one quarter mile from the Appalachian trail, and just minutes form beautiful Watauga Lake. Also, enjoy world class fishing on Watauga and Holston rivers. It's a great place for fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, boating, or just getting away from it all! The space This cozy cottage is big on outdoors but can still sleep 4 comfortably. The main part of the home contains the living/kitchen/dining area. Up the spiral staircase is the bedroom which has a queen size bed and a queen size futon. There is also a queen size futon on the first floor. The property boasts a spacious deck that overlooks the Laurel Fork of the Doe. From there, you'll have the best view in Dennis Cove. Laurel Fork of the Doe Creek borders the front edge of the parcel and is every kid’s favorite place to splash an afternoon away. Additionally, this house is the last house on a dead-end street with only one of those houses being lived in full-time so there is virtually no traffic. Guest access Guests are welcome to use anything and everything on site from the full-service kitchen to the Weber grill or picking from the apple trees and blueberry bushes in the summer, as well as chestnuts in the fall. Other things to note Please note that the road on the way up to this home is a windy, mountain road that has quite a bit of elevation. This might not be the right home for drivers who maybe are not comfortable driving in those conditions. There is a small woodshed next to the house where you will find firewood for your use in the fire pit.
