The space Beautiful Bathurst Park has an excellent café, a children’s play area and tennis courts, and Lydney also boasts a splendid lido. Enjoy a gentle pace of travel on the Dean Forest Railway from Lydney Junction. The heritage steam train stops at five charming country stations and takes you deep into the Forest of Dean. From there, you can walk or cycle through ancient woodland – look out for the remarkable 4-mile Sculpture Trail, with works by leading artists set among the trees. Tucked away at the end of a quiet lane, this distinctive single-storey holiday home is beautifully furnished and fitted in great style, with neutral tones and splashes of mustard yellow.
