Set out on the Gulf waters by kayaking or paddleboard to try to spot dolphins, manatees, and other sea life. Stump Pass Beach State Park is a must-see, and popular Englewood Beach on Manasota Key, a haven for families, has a 900-foot boardwalk, playground, picnic tables and grills, volleyball courts, a basketball court, and horseshoe pits.
