Discover La Foresterie, a large friendly holiday home in the heart of Auvergne. Large heated pool with forest views in the meadow. In summer, 4 to 6 more people thanks to the trailer and private camping. Common areas are spacious and comfortable, perfectly equipped, and the atmosphere is "kid-friendly" and vintage. The space ✨ Welcome to La Foresterie ✨ A large, very comfortable vacation home with 6 bedrooms, 15 beds + 3 extra beds + 2 baby beds (20 people) and a swimming pool with views of the forest and the Puys mountain range. La Foresterie is a tastefully renovated old stone farmhouse that can comfortably accommodate 18 people + 2 babies in its 6 bedrooms & 7 bathrooms. Between May and October, the furnished caravan in the garden provides 4 additional beds, facing the forest, and 2 camping pitches allow you to complete your gathering with 4 more people in the summer, making a total of 26 people. 💦 A new large heated pool at 25°C from early May to mid-October (excluding heat waves and midsummer) is available in the meadow behind the house. It is dedicated exclusively to your group during your stay. The view of the meadow and the Puys mountain range is breathtaking. Deck chairs, umbrellas, and floats are at your disposal. Secured by a shutter, to be closed after each use. The house is located in a very quiet hamlet - La Foresterie - very close to the charming village of Echandelys, in the Livradois Forez, in Auvergne. A large house with a vintage decor, very well-equipped and ideally located in the center of France. The ideal gathering place for family reunions, cousin gatherings, weekend or week-long vacations with friends, hiking trips, or company seminars in the countryside. Rentals all year round from a minimum of 2 nights (excluding long weekends and school holidays). Social events are welcome, but large parties such as bachelor parties, etc., are prohibited. 🏡 The house is organized as follows: On the ground floor: 🍽️ A very bright kitchen, facing south, directly overlooking the outdoor terrace thanks to its large glass window. It is very well equipped for groups: huge fridge, very large oven, lots of dishes, large casseroles and large dishes. A very nice space around the wooden log to cook together. Right next door, a back kitchen with plenty of storage for your groceries, a sink, and more countertops. ☕ There is a coffee bean machine and a filter coffee maker. A SodaStream machine and bottles on site. Under the stairs, a large, healthy and fresh pantry to complete the fridge. You can put your drinks, fruits, and vegetables there. 🔥 In the dining room, 2 large tables where 20 people can eat comfortably. A cocooning room thanks to the wood burning stove and its seating area. 🧺 A large laundry room with washing machine, dryer, racks, toilet and shower room. 🚲 Finally, a gated barn to store your bikes. On the first floor: the first 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with toilet including 2 private and the Saloon. 🛏️ Bedroom 1: 1 double bed 140 and a single bed 80 x 200 cm. Bedroom 2 : 1 double bed in 160 cm (separates into 2 single beds) + 1 wooden crib. These two bedrooms share a large bathroom with shower and toilet. Bedroom 3 : 1 double bed in 160 cm (separates into 2 single beds). Private shower room with walk-in shower and toilet. Bedroom 4 : 1 double bed in 180 cm (separates into 2 single beds). Private shower room with walk-in shower and toilet. On the second floor: the 5th and 6th bedrooms have their own private bathroom and toilet with walk-in shower. On the second floor, 2 bedrooms: Bedroom 5 : 1 double bed in 160 cm (separates into 2 single beds )+ 1 wooden crib. Bedroom 6 : 2 double beds in 160 cm (separates into 4 single beds). These two bedrooms overlook a play and reading area with 1 sofa bed for 2 people. All beds are made upon arrival with washed linen sheets, and towels are provided. The double bedrooms are modular thanks to our Queen beds which separate into 2 single beds if needed. Book the Forestry is also to enjoy the Saloon, a barn renovated by us between December 2024 and March 2025 that expands the house by an additional 80m2. We imagined it as a great cozy games room/ living room. A place of refuge where you would like to spend hours with your loved ones, summer and winter. It is organized as follows: 🍿 a seating area with 3 large sofas near floor-to-ceiling windows with forest views. The perfect place to gather, drink aperitifs, chat... You'll love the giant screen to watch the game you don't want to miss, or to organize movie nights (Netflix available) or karaoke! 🎯 a play area with foosball, electronic darts and a board game table: enough to occupy young and old if the weather is not beautiful! 🍸 🎶 the colorful Formica bar, star of the room, promises convivial evenings to remake the world over a drink while listening, why not, a vintage vinyl among the collection at your disposal. The bathrooms, with two shower cubicles, two toilets and 2 sinks in a large separate room. These are also the sanitary facilities of the campsite/caravan for the affected members of your group. 🤝 The Saloon also turns into a meeting room for team seminars. Upon request before your arrival, we set up tables and chairs. The ground outlets and the screen to project your presentations are already on site. 🧘 Finally, we provide you with Yoga mats if the desire for a sports session in front of the strong is felt. 🌳🌼 Outdoor spaces: If you're looking for nature and space, you'll be served. The house is surrounded by greenery, nature, forest. 💦 On the vast meadow that is an integral part of the garden, there is a large swimming pool secured by an electric shutter with a stunning view of the forest on one side and the Puys mountain range on the other. It is heated from early May (25°) until mid-October. In the middle of summer, it doesn't need to be heated. 🏕️ The 2.5 hectare land has a natural campsite to add 6 additional beds in the warm season (some locations have electricity), exclusively dedicated to your group when you book the house and the number of people exceeds the capacity of the house. (15€/pers./night) We have also set up a nice little caravan for 4 people (2 double beds) in a corner of the garden, for people who do not have camping equipment (€25/campsite/night). 🦌 🦊 From your tent canvas or trailer, watch the animals of the forest that sometimes approach when everything is quiet for magical moments to share with family or friends. Around the house there are different landscaped spaces: - The pétanque court (we provide the triplets!) 🏓 The ping pong area (we provide the snowshoes and balls!) - The covered terrace with tables, chairs and the large plancha (we provide gas!) - Garden furniture for tea or coffee (8 seats) - And to share meals with family or friends, enjoy the large shaded terrace (20 seats) gathering and conviviality. 🥾 🚴 The garden is also the starting point for many mountain biking and bike rides on pretty marked paths. A gated barn is available to store your bikes. Additional Details: ⚠️ Family gatherings, birthdays, festive but quiet occasions are welcome! On the other hand, if you want to party, please choose another cottage. We want to maintain good relations with neighbors and ensure respect for the premises. We provide all the essentials for infants: 2 risers, 1 high chair, 1 umbrella bed (in addition to the two wooden beds), toys and books. 🌡️ Our cottage is not air-conditioned, but there is no need: the 1-meter-thick walls perfectly maintain the coolness in summer on the ground floor. In each bedroom and in the caravan, we have installed a powerful fan (2 in the large bedroom). In the living room, there are ceiling fans and an ice maker. 🧊 In winter, we heat with a pellet boiler. You can also enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning stove (€10 per basket with small wood, logs and fire lighters, on request). 🐾 We also accept clean and well-behaved dogs. Please let us know when booking (€10/pet and /night will be required). We ask that dogs stay in the common areas and do not access the bedrooms.
