Other things to note We absolutely love our Tennessee home and feel lucky to spend time here throughout the year. When we’re away, we’re happy to open it up for guests to enjoy—because we’re sure you’ll fall in love with it just like we did! Located in Red Boiling Spring's Historic District, our Colonial Revival Retreat is the beautifully remodeled former Hudson Boarding House, originally built in 1905 as a 17-room boarding house. Relocated further back on the property in 1961 and lovingly renovated again in recent years, the home blends historic charm with modern comfort—offering a unique and memorable stay in a true Tennessee landmark. We rent out both Salt Lick Creek Cottage and the Country Colonial Retreat next door. The Cottage is our pet-friendly option, and when rented together, the two make the perfect setting for a memorable family or group getaway. Red Boiling Springs is steeped in rich history and is famous for its mineral waters, long believed to have healing properties. Travelers have come from around the world for over a century—and many still do—to experience them. The town once had dozens of hotels and boarding houses! Just down the street, you’ll find Armour’s Hotel, the only place in town with a working mineral bath. We highly recommend booking a soak and trying their unique healing beds. While you’re there, don’t miss the chance to enjoy a meal—the food is absolutely delicious!
