The space Escape to one of the most scenic areas of the Hudson Valley! Chatham is a charming, quiet town with unique shops, cozy restaurants, a classic movie theater, and more. This wonderfully secluded property is ideally situated near some of the region’s most picturesque spots, including the Berkshires, Great Barrington, Taconic State Park, Ooms Conservation Area, Queechy Lake, Tanglewood, Hudson, Kinderhook, and more. Outside: Step onto lush grounds surrounded by vibrant perennials, apple trees, and majestic maples and oaks. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, enjoy the large heated gunite pool (45’ x 18’) tucked into the hillside, complete with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Unwind by the fire pit, scattered Adirondack chairs, or on the porch swing with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Inside: The light-filled home blends historic charm with modern luxury. Downstairs begins with a beautiful mudroom (perfect for gear storage), with skylights and a washer/dryer. Step into the newly renovated kitchen, complete with a farmhouse sink, vaulted ceiling, more skylights, and high-end appliances: Miele fridge, Bertazzoni range, Bosch dishwasher, and a Devol faucet and pot filler. Off the kitchen is a stunning sunroom with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, a plush couch, and comfy chairs. It’s the perfect spot for soaking in the views, rain or shine, and especially during a snowfall. The open dining room seats six comfortably, while the adjacent media room offers a Smart TV and a cozy couch for unwinding. A pristine office, which doubles as an extra bedroom with a twin daybed, and a full bathroom with a vintage ‘50s porcelain tub, marble sink, and a spacious new shower round out the downstairs. Upstairs: Three inviting bedrooms (two with Queens, one with two Twins) share a full bathroom with a skylit shower. An open lounge features an ABC Carpet sectional (ideal as an extra sleep area) and a reading nook with a built-in desk. This home combines peaceful seclusion with proximity to Hudson Valley and Berkshires attractions, creating an all-season retreat perfect for relaxation and exploration. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house and property, except for one private owner's bedroom. Other things to note The property is extremely private. It looks out onto lush woods and a delightful creek. The small dirt road has very little traffic. Our guests get access to Queechy Lake - and it's private beach - which is around 10 minutes drive from the barn. We are dog lovers with two dogs of our own and welcome up to two dogs per booking (50 lbs max each) for an additional cleaning and maintenance fee. We may consider other pets—just ask!
