The phone, the tempo, the shoulders. Nestled between the Orléans Forest and the banks of the Loire, surrounded by oak trees that have witnessed centuries pass, it was designed for this very purpose: to bring people together. A family, two families, or a group of friends who haven't seen each other in a long time. Up to 14 people who, within a few hours, will no longer want to leave. The kids disappear into the garden as soon as they arrive—zip line, Ninja course, trampoline—and we only see them again at mealtime. As for the adults, they can set their own pace around the plancha or the Weber barbecue, drink in hand, while the coals do their work. In the evening, the hot tub on the deck takes over, away from prying eyes and the noise of the world. Inside, the house is large and cozy, designed to be a gathering place: a 14-seat dining table, a kitchen where you can really cook, and a living room that can be separated for late-night gatherings or watching movies on the 4K full-screen TV. In winter, the insert burns gently, and the wood is there, ready to go. In the summer, the fully air-conditioned house remains a cool haven. The Loire à Vélo cycle path passes in front of the house. The bikes are waiting in the garden. Germigny, Sully, Chambord—everything is close by, nothing is mandatory. A bottle of champagne welcomes you. The rest is up to you to write. What you'll find Outside A 100 m² south-facing terrace with garden furniture, two large tables, a gas plancha, and a Weber charcoal barbecue. A 5-person hot tub out of sight, included in the rate. About ten bikes available for exploring the surrounding area. Inside A large living room with a home theater (4K projector, dedicated screen, indoor and outdoor sound system), which can be closed off using large sliding doors. A fully equipped kitchen open to the dining room for 14 people – American fridge, second fridge, induction stove, Nespresso machine, two raclette/grill appliances, everything is there. Laundry room with washer and dryer. House fully air-conditioned, with heating and a wood-burning insert provided. High-speed Wi-Fi. The bedrooms — who sleeps where? Bedroom 1 — 25 m² 1 king-size bed (or 2 separate single beds upon request) + 1 double bunk bed (2 × 90 × 200) Bathroom with bath. Up to 4 people. Toiletries and basic spices included. Free private parking. Around US The Loire à Vélo cycle route passes right in front of the house—we have the bikes, so all you have to do is hop on. A 5-minute walk to the Loire and its wild banks. The Carolingian oratory of Germigny-des-Prés and its abbey are a 5-minute drive away. Just 10 minutes away are the Orléans Forest for hiking or horseback riding, and outdoor go-karting. 15 minutes away is the Château de Sully-sur-Loire. 30 minutes to Orléans. And for the more adventurous, canoeing/kayaking down the Loire, golf, the arboretum, the Briare Canal... 1 hour 10 minutes away, Chambord. Optional Spa included in the rate from March 15th to October 15th. Off-season, available as an option (€40/stay). Housekeeping during the stay, linen change, early check-in, or late check-out upon request. Pets not allowed. We are sincerely sorry for our furry friends, dogs, cats, and other four-legged companions, but pets are not allowed at La Germignonne. This rule allows us to maintain the comfort of all guests, especially those with allergies, as well as the quality of the amenities, garden, and living areas.
