Looking forward to hosting you! The space The Malibu Modern Oasis is an ocean view newly constructed smart home with exceptional ocean, island, canyon and mountain views. This beautifully appointed home captures indoor outdoor living at its finest for the ultimate Malibu Life. It offers approximately 2,401 sq. ft with an additional 578 sq. ft. including the deck and garage areas. This four bedroom and four bath home has been constructed with high end materials to create an energy efficient property. The stunning kitchen boasts a gorgeous center island with a counter top that is man made granite from Italy, along with the backsplash. All the exceptional details in the kitchen will make you feel like you never want to leave. The Andersen pocket doors and dual pane windows leave you breathless as you enjoy the never ending views of the islands, ocean, mountains and the canyon views. The top of the line kitchen appliances include: Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, Wolf dual fuel gas burner stove and electric oven with overhead vent/range, built-in Wolf microwave and an Asko dishwasher. There are great built in cabinets with an absolutely fabulous color blue that matches the color of the exterior of the house. Enjoy the 20 foot tall ceilings in the open living area in the adjacent dining area that is light and bright with all the incredible views. The recessed LED lighting is powered by solar heating and the Tesla back up battery. The primary retreat is located upstairs with its own private balcony and sliding glass doors to enjoy the gorgeous ocean, island, mountain and canyon views. Once upstairs in this special retreat, you will feel like you are on vacation. The walk-in closet has 8 foot tall doors, built-in cabinets and a window. The laundry room is conveniently located within the retreat and also boasts an 8 foot tall door. The stunning en-suite bathroom offers privacy glass windows, large tiled shower with glass doors, Mr. Steam along with the incredible ocean views. The windows have automated window coverings for your desired lighting. There are two separate sinks with built-ins covered with natural granite and have lighted mirrors for special ambiance lighting. The private deck is an extension of the living space and offers peace and solitude for your enjoyment. There are two bedrooms located off the kitchen, living and dining areas that also enjoy fabulous views and share a dual bathroom. The additional bedroom is located downstairs and has its own entry and private deck with full ocean views as well. This bedroom suite offers a kitchenette, bath and has its own individual air conditioning and heat. The property offers a charming and beautiful retreat style yard for incredible indoor-outdoor living. With extensive landscaping including the following plants and trees: organic vegetable garden, avocado, orange, lemon, grapefruit, lime, apple, pomegranate, peach, loquat and a fragrant, scented rose garden with many of the plants on a drip water system. The state of the art saltwater spa is located on the deck adjacent to the kitchen and dining areas situated to enjoy all the surrounding views being offered. There is exterior lighting throughout the entire property, including LED lighted driveway. This great location within this canyon offers privacy, exceptional views, with many phenomenal beaches nearby and also located nearby some of the most famous restaurants Malibu has to offer like Malibu Seafood, Paradise Cove Cafe and others along with great shopping. Guest access Guests DO have access to: - Driveway for parking up to six vehicles - Studio Apartment (lower level) - Three Bedrooms/Three Bath (main level) - State of the Art Kitchen (main level) - Outdoor seating area in front of the kitchen/living room - Outdoor seating area off of the kitchen - Lawn and Resort Bed (backyard) - Lavender Zen Area (backyard) - Jacuzzi (outdoor area) - Grill (outdoor area) - Laundry Room (w/in primary retreat) Guest DO NOT have access to: - The garage - Pizza Oven (outdoor area) - Wooden swing (it is broken, please don't use) Other things to note As our home is close to the ocean, the salty air collects rust in our front door lock quicker than usual. That being said, a locksmith comes every three months for maintenance and we keep an eye on it to ensure there is no issue with your stay. We allow small dogs that are house trained (up to 2 dogs) and have a pet fee of $50 per pet. Your pet's safety is our top priority. Please make sure that if you do decide to bring your dog, you keep them close by you when outdoors and on a leash. Our home is in the Santa Monica Mountains and there are several coyotes that roam the neighborhood. In addition, there are a couple larger more aggressive dogs down the street from us that are behind a fence, but good to know about them if you walk by their house they could startle you and your dog. The driveway is quite steep. You will have to drive in at an angle and go slow. Our gardener/landscaper, Pablo, comes every Friday around 1-2pm. He is a very sweet man and will not be there very long. We get inquiries a lot regarding birthday parties, dinner parties, graduation celebrations, etc. PLEASE make sure to speak with your host first before booking to ensure it will align with our house rules and fees. There is absolutely no large parties or events allowed that would disrupt the peaceful neighborhood. If you are looking to have a party with loud music and a lot of people, this is not the house for you. If you do feel it's aligned, please reach out and discuss with the host as we have special fees for this. Malibu noise ordinance is 10pm weekdays/11pm weekends. However, we still ask that guests be mindful of their noise level before these times as the noise carries in the canyon.
