Description
At the back of our garden under a giant mulberry tree is the Garden’s Nest. A place to be quiet, explore and wander. A place to pay attention and get to know the trees and dragonflies a little better. A place to feel moss under your feet and and where leaves are always at your fingertips. The space The Garden's Nest is located on 13 acres of woods and fields. We have a large red tobacco barn at the front of the property. We live tiny in one section of the barn and the other section is used for seasonal markets and a weekly farm stand. The property is mostly fenced in and has walking paths through both the woods and field that we encourage our guests to enjoy. During parts of the day our small flock of sheep along with 2 ponies and 1 mini horse graze in the field. The Garden's Nest is in our fenced in garden area. Guest access Guests can access the Garden's Nest through the front red gate. We will always be here to greet guests and help guide them to the garden gate. During most seasons guests can drive through the field directly to the garden gate where a short walk will take them to the Garden's Nest. However if the field conditions are too wet parking will only be available at the barn and a golf cart will be available for you to use. Guests can first access the Garden's Nest through the side door keypad. An access code will be sent the day prior to your reservation. Other things to note Because the Garden's Nest is located at the back of our garden there is a short walk through the garden to access the Garden's Nest. There is no indoor plumbing but a private portable toilet is located at the front of the garden gate that is serviced weekly and cleaned between stays along with an outdoor sink. Behind the Garden's Nest is where our outdoor shower/tub is located. It does have a tankless hot water heater and a small table with vanity in the area as well. We have tried to curate a space to encourage people to pay attention to life around them and unplug. Because of this there is limited lighting in the Garden's Nest and no tv. If you would like access to the internet we suggest BYOW (Bring your own wifi). We do have wifi at the barn but often the signal is too weak to stream anything on your laptop at the Garden's Nest.
