Casa Bambu, Bamboo Rainforest Beach House
The Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica's "little Amazon" and Matapalo, its costal edge where our houses are located, are some of the last, unspoiled regions in Costa Rica, if not the planet. If your dates aren't available here, see our other three houses: Casa Linda, Casa Pina and Casa Sonrisa. The space Visitors repeatedly say that Casa Bambu is exceptional, and have made it a Travelers Choice Winner 11 xs on TripAdvisor for 10 years running among TripAdvisor’s top 1% of hotels for families in all Costa Rica and Central America. Located on four acres in the midst of the rainforest, this off grid, bamboo house is right on beautiful Playa Pan Dulce, the area's premier beach and an easy walk to several others. It is remote and secluded, yet not isolated; comfortable yet unspoiled. It lets you: experience the true Costa Rica, one of the most amazing areas on earth; relax on the beach; surf uncrowded waves; commune with monkeys; and enjoy countless natural wonders. All while staying secure and comfortable. At Casa Bambu the ocean waves lull you to sleep and the roar of the howler monkeys awaken you to a glorious sunrise over the Golfo Dulce (Sweet Gulf). A gorgeous, pristine beach is literally steps away, and the rainforest and wildlife are all around. If you love nature in all its wild beauty, you'll love Casa Bambu. The house itself is a simple, yet comfortable “Swiss Family Robinson” dwelling with a verdant lawn sweeping to the beach in front. The view looks out on the magnificent Golfo Dulce, the Punto Banco mountains and Volcan Baru, a dormant volcano in Panama. From your porch watch scarlet macaw fly by and monkeys swing past in the trees. Without leaving your yard, enjoy spectacular ocean sunrises, a pristine, secluded beach and shore fishing. Or venture out to marvelous waterfalls, deep-sea waters, rainforest trails and more breathtaking scenery and unspoiled sand and surf. Casa Bambu is surrounded by a tropical paradise of fragrant, flowering plants like ginger, halyconia, and hibiscus; and fruit trees, with delicious succulent mango, lime, breadfruit, pineapple, papaya and banana there for the picking (depending on the season). Other things to note The Osa Peninsula is practically a Covid-free zone. There have been very few incidences of the virus in our area throughout the pandemic. The Osa is so sparsely populated that “social distancing” is the norm. And there is plenty of pure air and warm sunshine, which viruses hate. We have a NO RISK booking policy: if you reserve and are unable to come due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no cancellation fees and you will be issued a full travel credit for a future trip.
