The nearest free swimming spot on the North Sea can be found in the Wesselburenerkoog just before the Eidersperrwerk. In about 15 minutes by car you can reach the endlessly long sandy beaches of St. Peter-Ording with original gastronomy, a stopover at the Eidersperrwerk is always an experience. There is a zoo in St. Peter-Ording, where you can watch seals while feeding. Or visit the lively harbor town of Büsum in about 15 minutes by car. Here you can shop to your heart's content, walk on the dyke, try the diverse restaurants or explore the lively harbor. Various boat tours through the Wadden Sea start from here.
