The Route des Châteaux (34 km) connects three castles, that of La Madeleine to Chevreuse, which overlooks the valley and which can be seen from the RER, at the Domaine de Dampierre, then at the Château de Breteuil. Another possibility of hiking, recommended for mountain bikes and slightly trained hikers. Follow the old railway to Boullay-les-Troux, site of a former commandery of the Templars of the Villedieu. The shell of the city's coat of arms is that of the Coubertin family, settled here in 1577. Their name has endured over the centuries, with the Foundation (1km from the RER by the bike path), the estate and the farm. The Coubertin Foundation works for the transmission of knowledge, providing accommodation and general and technical education for the thirty residents it hosts annually. Home to a collection centered on the 1500 drawings of the sculptor Joseph Bernard, the museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 2pm to 7pm until July 17. Guided tour on Sundays, 4pm. €5, €3 discounted rate, free for those under 18 years old. Exhibitions are regularly organized, whether in gardens or in locals.
