The space Located just one mile North of historic Frederick, the studio is located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street, within easy walking distance to downtown, area parks, Hood College and Fort Detrick. Guest access Whether traveling for business, education or adventure, we are centrally located and close to public transit. We are less than an hour in any direction, to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Harpers Ferry, Antietam or Gettysburg National Park. Historic Frederick City and County is steeped in historic landmarks and offers majestic views for cyclists, kayakers, and hikers alike. Outdoor adventure opportunities include the Appalachian Trail, the C&O Canal, the Catoctin Mountains, Gambrill Park, the Potomac and Monocacy Rivers. Other things to note You will have access to off street parking and will be able to access the studio from the driveway, walking in directly, no stairs, to the private guest suite which is accessed by keyless entry. **This is a 1940's basement apartment, meaning ceiling height is lower. ***As part of the house is heated with radiated gas heat, during the heating months, you may hear the sound of water running through overhead lines in the ceiling. ~For cyclists coming to the area for events or county rides, bikes may be stored inside overnight.
