What happens on the boat, stays on the boat! The May Gosling, built in 1969 has travelled the seas and is now ready to host you land lubbers! This 22ft family yacht has 3 narrow single beds. On board is portaloo, basic handwash facilities & kettle A dining table coverts to a small double bed. The Deck has sunrise views with outdoor fire pit and free wood You must be able to climb down 4 ladder stairs to access. Please read all guest information including safety information prior to booking The space A small yacht, with step down access to a bedroom/living area. Private Toilet and hand washbasin (cold water) are on board. An adjacent deck area has seating and open views. You will be shown how to open the roof of the boat and climb down into the hull. You will need some physical dexterity. Pets are welcome. If you are unsure, please make contact to ask questions, prior to booking. This is an ex working boat, with no modifications. She shows signs of 50 years at sea, but is clean inside and comes with fresh bedding for all guests (choice of sleeping bag/duvets). This is a rustic glamping-style experience located underneath trees in a wooded area by a horse field with access to main routes. Well behaved pets are welcome. Ample Free Parking is right by the boat. For your own safety, climbing on top of the boat’s bow is not permitted. This is akin to a camping experience, with basic, yet fun facilities for up to 5. The boat has electricity, including phone charger, kettle and radiator heating. Dress warmly for Autumn visits Guest access The May Gosling is a real yacht, accessed by 3 steps up to the decking area and a further 3 steps up to the boat hull. The living/sleeping area is accessed by a narrow 4 step ladder to the lower part of the boat. This accommodation is unlikely to be suitable for those who cannot confidently manage ladder steps. All bunks, including the double bunk are narrow. Beds will comfortably sleep 2 adults, plus 2 children in a relatively small space. However, the boat was technically built as 5 berth, so a fifth person or a pet could squeeze in - albeit cosily. Free Parking directly alongside the boat. Other things to note The may Gosling is a 5 berth boat. This is a glamping experience - a 50 year old boat under some very old protected trees in a greenbelt woodland area, adjacent to private horse paddocks. There are no cooking facilities on board or activities on site, but you will have a private fire pit with unlimited wood. You can also use bbq, outdoor dining table and chairs. Electricity is available on board, including a kettle. An oil filled radiator provides heating inside during winter. Fresh Bedding is delivered on arrival. Excellently behaved dogs who are comfortable around horses are welcome. Children and pets must be supervised during your stay and are asked not to enter the horse paddock in the neighbouring private property. For your safety, please do not climb on top of the boat or stand on the front of the bow of the boat. You will have plenty of great photo opportunities from the safety of the boat deck and seating area. Guests are welcome to visit the nearby grand pond area with wild ducks and moorhens. Children must be supervised whilst near the pond. NO SMOKING ALLOWED ON BOARD THE MAY GOSLING. Smoking and vaping is allowed in all outdoor areas.
