You can do that on the terrace of our beautiful apartment! The opposite dunes make sure you sit out of the wind. It is a very sunny, spacious, comfortable and quiet apartment, in a prime location in Nes on Ameland, where you can relax and unwind. The apartment also has large, facade-wide windows in all rooms and a spacious, facade wide south-facing balcony. From all seating in the living room and from the bedrooms you have a phenomenal view of the dunes and the most beautiful skies (like a painting). The bus stops near the apartment, at bus stop Duinoord. Within walking distance of the apartment there is also a supermarket (at camping Duinoord) that is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Very convenient for fresh rolls and croissants in the morning. The apartment is fully equipped; it has a large TV, lovely beds, a bathtub and there is more than enough cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils and (good) pans for making your own meals available. The apartment is only 300 meters walking distance from the forest, the most beautiful beach and the nicest beach tent in the Netherlands (beach tent Sjoerd). At the beach you can enjoy a beautiful sunset in the evening. You can cycle in just 5 minutes to the beautiful, historic village of Nes (or you can walk to it in 15 minutes).. Regularly, you can spot real ones from the apartment, which walk wildly through the dunes on Ameland. Pheasants and rabbits often pass by. In addition, from the apartment you will see the most beautiful skies passing by. On Ameland you can really experience the ultimate island feeling. It is a great holiday destination in every season. The beautiful boat trip - where you immediately experience the holiday feeling - of about 45 minutes from Holwerd to Ameland is easy to book via the website of Wagenborg passenger services; there are many sailings daily. You can bring a vehicle like a bike or a car. Any changes to the boat reservation are also easy to make. The apartment has an area of 91 m2 and a large south-facing balcony of approx. 11 m2 that overlooks the dunes. Here, the salty sea air often blows towards you, and when it is dark, you can see how many stars are in the sky. You can park very spacious and free at the apartment. 1st floor: entrance/hall, toilet with fountain, 2 spacious bedrooms, bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. 2nd floor: landing, spacious living/dining room, kitchen, balcony of 11 m2. The balcony is sunny from the end of the morning until sunset. Of all the Dutch Wadden Islands, Ameland has the most varied nature. You can walk endlessly there (there are various hiking trails marked out in the dunes, forests and along the beach), and it has no fewer than 100 km of bike paths. On Ameland you can also practice various water sports, such as kayaking, surfing, beach sailing and (sloop)rowing on the Wadden Sea at rowing association Claas Sipkes. You can also go climbing and golfing there, and there is a public swimming pool. The sunny and spacious living room of the apartment has a spacious three-seater sofa, two fine leather armchairs, a large television with YouTube and additional (international) television channels, including a large number of German and English channels. There is also a DVD system with radio. The apartment has free WiFi. The spacious kitchen has plenty of light and is equipped with a fridge with freezer, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a kettle, a Senseo coffee maker and a regular coffee maker. In addition to 4 box spring beds, consisting of one double bed and two single beds, the apartment has a separate, fold-out mattress and a dining room chair for a 5th guest. There are also two full cribs and a high chair available. The bathroom has a bathtub and a separate shower. Also there is a washing machine. There is a garden set on the spacious, facade-wide balcony and there is a sunshade. A separate parasol is also available. The apartment also has a washing machine, a drying rack and an ironing board. You can charge electric bicycles at the apartment. The apartment, for the sake of hygiene to be observed, is rented incl. free bedding (i.e. 1 set per guest of 4 years and older). Also, the Tourist Tax (€2.04 per day per guest of 4 years and older) is included in the rental price. If desired, towels and tea towels can be rented on request. Smoking and pets are not allowed In 2026, a minimum of 1 day is rented. From 2027 the arrival and departure days are Monday, Friday and Saturday. Guest access The bus stops near the apartment, at the Duinoord stop. A beautiful boat trip on the Wadden Sea takes you into a completely different world. Leave the rest of the world behind you. On to Ameland. Also known as the Wadden Diamond, and for good reason. Four picturesque, historic villages full of characteristic commander's houses, other monuments, museums and restaurants, 27 kilometers of North Sea beach, the nature reserves 't Oerd and de Hôn, endless cycling and hiking trails, polders and salt marshes, forest and dunes, fresh and salt water: that is Ameland! When you think of Ameland, you might first think of the beautiful nature with miles of beaches and dunes. But Ameland also has a rich culture. The historic villages of Hollum, Ballum, Nes and Buren are characterized by beautiful old commander's houses (the oldest dates from 1571), which are reminiscent of the "golden age" of Ameland, and by the characteristic Ameland farms. And not to mention, of course, the shops and cozy restaurants. The atmosphere on the island is special and cozy. The island, with its approx. 3,700 inhabitants, is literally and figuratively in motion. Nature is constantly changing and is particularly beautiful in every season.
