The property offers full amenities both upstairs and down making it ideal for both families or two couples. The space Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way The Bird House Lodge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy both a woodland location and the surrounding beaches. The lodge spans two floors and offers all home comforts as well as a fantastic games room and outside deck area. Surrounded by woodland on all sides the the peace is interrupted only by birdsong. Woodland walks of approx 5km circle the property and Garrettstown beach is only a 2 minute drive down the road. The Bird House Lodge comprises a upstairs apartment with bedroom, ensuite, kitchen and lounge area. Downstairs boasts another large bedroom with ensuite, utility room/ kitchenette and games room complete with pool table and its own bar. Double doors from the games room lead to the private deck area perfect for stargazing. The lounge and kitchen upstairs are fully equipped with TV, fridge, convection microwave, cooker and oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee machine etc. There is a dining table and chairs inside the Juliette balcony where you can sip your coffee and enjoy a visit from feathered friends (bird food provided). The beautifully upstairs furnished bedroom comprises a king-sized bed with hypo- allergenic duvet, cotton linen and patchwork quilt. During the summer the sea view is partial from the bedroom as the trees are in full leaf however the light from the old head lighthouse can be glimpsed at night. The downstairs bedroom is spacious and comfortable. The kingsize bed is again dressed with a hypo-allergenic duvet, cotton linen and patchwork quilt. With a beautiful artwork of the local beach, and with a relaxing colour scheme you are guaranteed a peaceful nights sleep. The ensuite has a spa like feel ensuring you feel pampered with its large waterfall shower. The adjoining games room is the epicenter for your vacation. With vintage leather couches, a red felt pool table, dart boards and an old school bar salvaged from The Vintage restaurant in Kinsale -- who needs to go anywhere! Bar and wine rack can be stocked on request - options provided. Fluffy white bath towels as well as beach towels and dressing gowns are provided. There is OFCH heating throughout for cosy winter evenings. Owner lives on the property in a separate private residence and is always available for advice on dining, site seeing etc Check in is from 3pm- 6pm unless prior arrangements have been made Check out is at 11am unless prior arrangements have been made Min stay varies from 2 nights to 14 nights depending on season Please note, phone signal at the property is poor however wifi based apps can be used.
