Shelmar Landing Man-O-War Cay Vacation Home Beach Access and Deep Water Dockage

Man-O-War Cay is a hidden gem and is ideally located to explore the best of the Abacos! Arrive by your own boat or fly into Marsh Harbour and take a short private ferry to your deep water dock. Shelmar Landing is a Sea-to-Sea property that has expansive views of the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sea of Abaco. Built by a local craftsman, the house is a testament to the boat building heritage of the island. From the dock you merely walk across the Queen's Highway (a picturesque, mostly dirt road that runs the length of the island) to access the property. A short walk leads you to the house which is elevated and provides breathtaking views from its porches. From one side you can watch boats cruise the Sea of Abaco, one of the greatest boating destinations in the world; from the other, a crystal white sand beach faces the world's third largest barrier reef system. Fowl Cay National Park, a protected snorkeling and diving destination, is adjacent to Man-O-War Cay. The main floor of the house has two bedrooms, the master with a king bed and en suite bathroom and a guest room with a queen bed. A full bathroom with tub is accessed through the main hallway. The living area features some of the best views in the Abacos, as the ocean and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world is steps from the porch. A stairway leads to a sleeping loft with two queen beds and the third bedroom with two double beds and an en suite bathroom. A second set of stairs leads from the living room to a sleeping loft with two double beds that overlooks the Sea of Abaco. The house is fully air conditioned and features high speed internet and an Apple TV with access to streaming services. A gas grill is available on the porch and a new full size generator in the garage provides immediate and complete power to the property. The house has recently been completely repainted and redecorated and is now available for rent for the first time. The property is managed by a full time caretaker who is available to assist you throughout your vacation. Golf cart and boat rentals are available on the island, and the caretaker can also recommend guides for fishing, lobstering or boating. A small island that is home to Bahamian families who settled there over two hundred years ago, Man-O-War Cay is a friendly and vibrant community that features one of the best grocery stores in the Abaco as well as a full service coffee shop.
