The cottage has been designed and furnished for those who look for the finer things in life – who love beautiful natural surrounds as much as they appreciate a refined living space. People visit Cliff Cottage, Kilkee for many reasons. For some it’s simply a great place to come and unwind and do very little. Others come to explore the outstanding natural beauty of the area. SHORE-EDGE BEAUTY The cottage offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, Kilkee’s famous cliffs and its magnificent horse-shoe bay. As one of only two houses that enjoy a shore-edge location, the cottage provides direct access to the East cliff, George’s Head and Kilkee Golf Course. A COTTAGE WITH A STORY “It’s no coincidence that the cottage’s history and location are synonymous with relaxation and rejuvenation. The cottage is built on a site that, in the late 1830s and 1840s, was occupied by hot baths. These were fed by water pumped from the sea, offering a natural therapy to visitors from afar.” WHERE CHARM MEETS COMFORT Holidaying in style is part of the beauty of Cliff Cottage, Kilkee. This elegant, up-market cottage that sleeps 7 people is perfectly finished and furnished, offering absolute premium quality and high-end comfort – to see to your every need. ROOMS The open-plan extension is filled with natural light and designed to ‘bring the outside in’ with seascape views that surround you. A spacious dining area with large table to seat 8 invites you to dine with the sea as your dramatic backdrop. Wall-to-wall sliding doors open on to your own cliff top patio with patio furniture and gas barbeque. Dine al fresco to the sound of the waves below or breakfast as you relax and watch life out on the water. Relax and revive in your comfortable living area with restful, wood-burning stove. The kitchen is modern, streamlined and fully-equipped with gas/electric range cooker, larder fridge, dishwasher, freezer and microwave. There is an adjacent utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and large hot press. Adjoining is a Toilet and Shower Room with both electric and mains shower units and a large Belfast sink. The original cottage now accommodates 3 bedrooms, all individually styled with a mix of contemporary and antique furnishing. 5/6 people can be comfortably accommodated by: 1 Double Bedroom with ensuite and panoramic sea views 1 Twin Bedroom with ensuite and breathtaking sea view 1 Twin Bedroom with view over Kilkee Pier and Beach served by adjacent main toilet and shower room Note: the cottage does not include a bath. FACILITIES For your comfort and convenience you will enjoy the use of: •Linen and towels •Large smart TV and selection of books and games •Free WiFi available •A ‘settling in pack’ including tea, coffee, sugar – as well as a starter fire pack of oak wood for the stove •Outdoor covered drying area, complete with clothes line •Outside cold shower to rinse-off after your salt water swim •Under-floor heating throughout (heating natural oak flooring and tiles) as well as heated towel radiators and a high-performance, easy to light wood-burning stove •A naturally-seeded lawn area with native grass and wild flowers Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage, patio and front garden Roadside parking for 2 cars. Other things to note The cottage is only suitable for children over 16 years of age. While the cottage is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately, internally it is all on the one level. The cottage does not include a bath. Roadside parking available for 2 cars.
