Capitol Cottage in Historic Corydon, Indiana

Capitol Cottage is right in the center of historic Corydon. We are just blocks away from antique malls, shops, an incredible walking/bike trail, dog park, and the First Indiana State Capitol Building. We are located in Harrison County and just a few minutes off of I-64. We are a close drive from Louisville, Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari, Paoli Peaks, O’Bannon Woods and Patoka Lake State Park, multiple cave tours, canoeing, wineries, casinos, and so much more. You will love your stay! The space The cottage has everything you could want for a comfortable and safe stay while visiting the area. We pride ourselves in having everything you need and being super clean and tidy. The bedrooms and beds are nicely sized and the living room is very spacious with lots of seating. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook or heat up your meals. There are 2 very clean restrooms in the house and a full size washer and dryer for you to use, should you need to do laundry. Just out back there is a nicely maintained “fenced-in” yard to hang out and relax or play games in. There are so many things to do that it’s tough to list them all. The First State Capitol Tours are very fun and informative and just 2 blocks away. Step across the street and visit Zimmerman Art Glass, the second oldest family run studio glass factory in the United States, to check out their custom made glass items and watch how these “glass-blown” items are made right in front of you. There are several large State Parks with hiking trails and lakes nearby including the Hayswood Nature Reserve, which is within walking distance from the cottage. The wineries are wonderful and many have live music on the weekends (seasonal). Don’t miss French Lick Casino and Caesar's Southern Indiana Casino either and if horse racing peaks your interest, we are about 45 minutes from Churchill Downs! There is so much more and we will include all the details in our guest binder that you will receive once you book your stay. Guest access Once you arrive, the entire property is yours. You won't see any of our staff there, unless you need something. And you can contact us at any time and expect to reach us quickly, should you need us. Your front door access code will be pre-programmed right before you arrive and no one else will have used that code. Punch it in upon arrival for quick access no matter what time of day and use that code throughout your entire stay.
