Comfortable and Ecological Camping

Stay in our comfortable forest environment! We have 20 acres of nature trails and our campsite is quiet and peaceful. We are flexible and will try to accomodate your needs. We can help you identify local sites of interest and activities. The space Our spacious 10x12 tent for 3 persons has a double and a single bed and is set on a concrete floor and set under a zinc roof to keep you safe and dry. Our open kitchen is equipped with gas stove, wood burning stove, cooler for your ice, pots, pans and dishes where you can prepare your own food. We provide an ecological shower and toilet. Trails on the property provide good birdwatching with peaceful and quiet areas for meditation and reflection. Kimo offers 2 hour or half day ecological lecture/tours of our place from a hunter gatherer perspective or several topics related to the forest and it's development. He has been doing research in this forest for the past 8 years.Lectures are priced at $25 and $50. This is our humble offer! However, we can reccomend activities in the neighboring area, e.g. horseback riding, caving or tubing. Guest access Guests have access to private tent space (sheets, toilet paper and soap provided), kitchen (equipped with basic ingredients e.g. salt, pepper, oil, sugar, coffee, natural herbs, pots/pans, stove and purified drinking water), hammocks, trails. Other things to note We suggest you bring a small head lamp, mosquito spray, anti-itch cream, any personal medications you might need. Local supermarkets sell foods that you can purchase before coming up to the campsite as you need to prepare your meals. We suggest that, like for all overseas trips, you purchase travel insurance.
