The Town of Lake Lure has announced an official target date to fully reopen the lake for the 2026 summer season, beginning May 1, 2026, and restoration efforts are actively underway with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers following Hurricane Helene in October 2024. Until then, the magic of Lake Lure extends far beyond the water.
