Welcome to Hawthorn Farms, a 6BR/4BA craftsman-style estate tucked into the hills of El Cajon. Designed for family reunions, milestone celebrations, and group getaways, this home sleeps up to 20 guests and offers the perfect mix of space, style, and serenity. Enjoy sweeping hillside views from the private pool, gather around the fire pit at night, or spread out across multiple living areas indoors. With a fully equipped kitchen, expansive lawn, and flexible sleeping arrangements, this retreat makes group travel effortless. Just 30–45 minutes from San Diego’s beaches, zoo, and downtown, Hawthorn Farms blends peaceful country charm with city convenience. *Event Policy – Please Read Before Booking* We’re beyond thrilled that you’re considering Hawthorn Estate as the backdrop for your special celebration. The estate is perfect for events like rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, and more. It offers plenty of parking for 30+ cars and has space for food trucks or other vendors. We can also provide catering tables and chairs, with seating for up to 50 guests, making it easy to host your event comfortably. To keep things clear and simple, our event fees are separate from lodging costs: • Up to 25 guests: $1,500 • Up to 40 guests: $2,250 • 40–60 guests: $3,500 • 60–80 guests: $5,000 • 80–100 guests: $6,500 To ensure an enjoyable experience for all, the maximum event capacity is 100 guests. All events require a minimum 3-day booking through our online listing. This allows ample time for setup, celebration, and relaxation — no rushing, just memories made at your own pace. While our estate is beautifully furnished, you’re welcome to coordinate with third-party vendors for tables, chairs, and décor that perfectly match your event vision. To preserve the tranquility of the neighborhood, local regulations require a 10:00 PM noise cutoff. We kindly ask guests to keep celebrations respectful so everyone can enjoy a peaceful evening. If you see an issue with this, we request you choose another property. Violation of our House Rules will result in all guests being asked to vacate the premises immediately. The booking will be canceled with no refund. NO 3RD PARTY BOOKINGS: Whoever books the property needs to be staying on the property, you can not book for another party. 3rd party bookings will be ask to leave the property with no refund. EVENT POLICY – Please Read Before Booking We’re happy to consider hosting special events such as weddings at our property! However, events must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee of $50 per guest (including all attendees, not just overnight guests). Please do not book instantly if you’re planning an event. Instead, send us a message with the details of your event—including the type of event, number of attendees, and any additional needs—so we can confirm if we can accommodate you and provide a custom quote. We look forward to helping make your celebration memorable—just reach out first so we can ensure everything runs smoothly! NOISE: Parties & Events are strictly prohibited. Community quiet times are between 10pm and 8am. Amplified music and excessive noise is not allowed. Respectful low volume music until 10PM is allowed. All music must be off after 10PM. OCCUPANCY: If you exceed the maximum occupancy, the reservation will be canceled without refund. At which time you will be trespassing and agree to vacate the premises. If you do not leave the property, the police can and will be called to assist with removal for trespassing. The total number of guests includes children. SMOKING: Smoking of any kind (including vaping) is not permitted inside the property. POOL RULES: Please do not have glass around the pool. Any broken glass inside the pool will require complete drainage of the pool to remove the glass pieces.The pool is not deep enough for jumping or diving. You will injure yourself. PETS: Pets are allowed for a fee however, we kindly request that they are kept off of the beds and sofa. If pet hair is found on the beds, there will be a $150 fine per bed where hair is detected for additional cleaning. HOME CARE: Please take care of the property as you would your own. Please do not wear shoes upstairs and leave the furniture, decor etc the way it was originally found. $100 fine for any lost or unreturned remotes. Please keep them in their place. NO DELIVERIES: Please note that guests will not have access to the property’s mailbox, and direct mail deliveries are not permitted. For any Amazon orders or other package deliveries, please utilize the nearest pickup location instead. FORGOTTEN ITEMS: Please note that we do not mail forgotten items back.
