The space Important details about the rental are below that will help you plan your stay. We thank you for reading thoroughly about our space. PLANNING YOUR STAY: This rental is the lower unit of the house. The unit has its own private and separate entrance and sleeps up to 4 guests. BEDROOMS & SLEEPING: A private bedroom with king-size bed and queen-size pull-out couch also available. Extra pillows, linens and blankets are available in the home. BATHROOMS: Full-size private bathroom with tub/shower combo. The bathroom is fully stocked with towels, toilet paper, soap (incl. shampoo, conditioner and body wash) and blow dryer. KITCHEN: The kitchen is recently remodeled and fully stocked. Includes fridge/freezer, sink, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, plug-in cooktop, induction cooktop, and coffee maker. Essentials provided for your use: plates, cups, cookware, bakeware, Tupperware, utensils, paper towels, dish soap, brush/sponge and dishwasher soap, coffee, cream and sugar, cooking spray, olive oil and salt/pepper. TECHNOLOGY: Wi-Fi included and Smart TV in living areas. You are welcome to connect to your Netflix or streaming account. LAUNDRY: Private Washer/Dryer are available. We also provide laundry detergent, dryer sheets and a steamer. ADDITIONAL PERKS: 1. We’re happy to provide a grill and outdoor area with chairs and a firepit; guests who wish to utilize this area should plan to bring their own firewood or purchase some at any of the nearby local stores like Meijer, Walmart, Menards, etc. This is a shared space with guests booking the upper unit of the home. 2. Additional items available for use - board games and beach towels are also available for guests. OTHER IMPORTANT INFO: 1. If you are bringing infants/babies, the units are NOT baby-proofed. (Furniture is NOT secured to walls, outlet blockers are NOT included, cabinets/drawers are NOT locked, etc.) You assume responsibilities for all guests. 2. This transitional and eclectic neighborhood shared with both locals and tourists has many popular restaurants and attractions. If you have any specific questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out prior to booking. CHECK-IN INFO: Guests who book will receive check-in instructions and a key code for entry on the morning of their scheduled arrival. All of this will be communicated through Airbnb messenger. Please note that Michigan City is on Central Standard Time (CST). Check-in is after 4 p.m.; guests must check out by 10 a.m. so that we can clean/prepare for our next renters before they arrive. Our cancellation policy is moderate. Guest access Guests will have full access to the lower unit of the home and outdoor areas. This unit is separate from the other unit and has a private and separate entrance with designated parking. At least one host is always available via text through the Airbnb App. A code for the door will be provided for access. Other things to note We welcome guests of all backgrounds! We are accepting booking requests from: 1. Airbnb users who are "verified" and who already have positive reviews from other hosts. 2. Renters that are above the age of 25. 3. Renters who are not bringing pets. A maximum of 4 guests per reservation. Extra guests are not allowed. We value our relationship with our neighbors, so events, gatherings or parties are not to be held by guests. In order to keep the unit in excellent condition for future guests, we are firm on these rules. We thank you for your understanding this very important rule. Lastly, smoking is NOT allowed inside or around the property and pets are not allowed in the property. If there is any evidence smoking occurred inside or within 50 feet of the property (smoke smell, ashes, paraphernalia, etc.) or pets, there will be an additional $300 cleaning charge and/or loss of security deposit if one was collected.
