Created for ourselves, shared with you, people who want to run away from the city and free their minds. Surrounded by Kaņiera Lake and forest, meadows, with its own huge, closed courtyard and breakfast on the terrace or morning walks along the beach 10 minutes away. Our only neighbors are deer, beaver and thousands of birds living in the lake. There is a lot of sunlight in the lake house, 6m ceiling - light a fireplace, prepare tea collected in local meadows and read your favorite Ziedonis in a net above the fireplace. Cozy in all seasons. The space The house is located 10 minutes walk from the sea. Surrounded by silence with its own yard, huge terrace and no neighbors. The house is a hundred-year-old log house brought from the blue lake land and assembled from two granaries in 2008. Although old, it has a non-standard, open-plan design and 6m high ceilings. On the ground floor there is a living area combined with a kitchen, toilet/shower. The living area has a small sofa that can be pulled out (1.60m wide), a fireplace and a dining table. In the kitchen you will find everything you need for both short-term and long-term living for 4 people. Including - induction stove, dishwasher, washing machine, steam extractor, sharp knives, mocha pot, electric milk frother, small fridge, dishes, cutlery, bowl, pan. KALVE coffee for the first day of stay and self-collected honey and tea. Toilet combined with shower, warm floor. An electric towel dryer will allow you to quickly dry a wet towel or clothes. On the second floor there is a sleeping area with a 2m wide bed and a lounge area with a large window, an exit to the balcony and a net above the fireplace where you can sleep. The balcony overlooks Lake Kaņieris. The house is equipped with a heat pump that will guarantee a comfortable temperature at any time of the year and a recuperator that will maintain air quality even in cold weather when you do not want to open the window. On both sides of the house there is a terrace that will allow you to escape from the sun/shade during the day and the outdoor lighting will also allow you to enjoy a warm summer evening. A wide area and a lockable gate will ensure that your four-legged friend can also run safely. There is a fireplace and a grill on the territory (coal, fuel and grate/wood must be provided by yourself). Throughout the year, it is possible to rent a portable sauna and a hot tub. 80 EUR/day each. Ask DM for availability. During the summer months, it is possible to rent 2x SUP boards to go for a sunset swim in the sea. Other things to note Please note that access to the 2nd floor is via steep stairs, which can be challenging for young children and impossible for your four-legged friends or people with mobility problems. We have listened to the guests' desire for privacy and longer sleep in the mornings and have installed opaque blinds (this is not yet visible in the photos).
