Lake House

Created for ourselves, shared with you, people who want to run away from the city and free their minds. Surrounded by the Kaņiera Lake and forest, meadow, with its own, huge, closed courtyard and breakfast on the terrace or morning walks along the beach 10 minutes away. Our only neighbors are deer, beavers and thousands of birds living in the lake. There is a lot of sunlight in the lake house, 6m ceiling - light a fireplace, prepare tea collected in local meadows and read your favorite Ziedonis in a net above the fireplace. Cozy in all seasons. The space The house is 10min walk from the sea. Surrounded by silence with its own homestead, huge deck and no neighbors. The house is a hundred-year-old log house brought from the blue lake land and assembled from two barns in 2008. Although old, it has a non-standard, open-plan layout and 6m high ceilings. On the ground floor you will find the living area combined with the kitchen, wc/shower. The living area has a small sofa that can be pulled out (1.60m wide), a fireplace and a dining table. In the kitchen you will find everything you need for both short and longer living for 4 people. Including - induction cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, steam extractor, sharp knives, moka can, electric milk frother, small fridge, crockery, cutlery, bowl, pan. KALVE coffee for the first day of stay and self-picked honey and tea. Toilet combined with shower, warm floor. The electric towel dryer will allow you to quickly dry a wet towel or clothes. On the second floor there is a sleeping area with a 2m wide bed and a lounge area with a large window, access to the balcony and a net above the fireplace where you can sleep. From the balcony there is a view of Lake Kaņieris. The house is equipped with a heat pump that will guarantee the comfort temperature at any time of year and a recuperator that will maintain air quality in cold weather when you don't want to open the window. There is a terrace on both sides of the house, which will allow you to take shelter from the sun/or shade during daylight hours and exterior lighting, will also allow you to enjoy a warm summer evening. A wide area and a closing gate will guarantee that your four-legged friend can run out safely too. There is a fire pit and grill set up in the grounds (charcoal, burns, and grills/ skewers need to be provided by yourself). Throughout the year it is possible to rent a mobile sauna and a hot tub. 80 EUR/day for each. Ask DM for availability. During the summer months, it is possible to rent 2x SUP to go for a sunset swim in the sea. Other things to note Please note that access to the 2nd floor is via steep stairs, which can be challenging for young children and impossible for your four-legged friends or people with mobility problems. We have listened to the guests' desire for privacy and longer sleep in the mornings and installed opaque blinds (this is not visible in the photos yet).
