This architectural oddity has been completely refinished for guests to unwind and relax in style-- perfect for those who seek comfort and adventure. No right-angles in sight at this pie-shaped house! The space We are proudly featured in Airbnb's OMG! category, which showcases unique and extraordinary vacation homes. Our unique home is also perfect for an anniversary trip, a family vacation, and more. We look forward to welcoming you! The Space: This two bedroom, one bathroom home has an open, spacious living room featuring fun colors and custom furniture with a Roku TV. One bedroom contains a king bed, while the second bedroom has two single twin beds. There is a full bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. The fully-equipped kitchen features an oven, stove, sink, refrigerator, and microwave along with dishware, flatware, and kitchen cookware. We provide other appliances such as a 12-cup coffee maker, Keurig k-cup machine, coffee bean grinder, coffee press, electric kettle, and more! Be sure to bring your favorite coffee to enjoy the full extent of these features. During your stay, we provide bath towels, bed linens, and black makeup washcloths. Your peace of mind and comfort is our goal! Outside, take a walk on the large, wrap-around deck-- it's the perfect place to watch sunrise, sunset, and enjoy the mountain view peaking between the pine trees. From here, you can also admire the custom-built, red-rock fireplace and enjoy the peacefulness of the surrounding property (please note that the fireplace is decorative and not functional). This property is the perfect place to step away from the busyness of life-- relax and listen to the leaves rustle in the wind and birds tweeting from the tree tops while enjoying your morning coffee on the large deck! At night, take a peak at the dark sky to see the bright stars. The property sits on a 2 acre grassed area; kids have lots of room to run and play. There is also a surprise on the tree stumps out front for those who decide to roam the property. Additionally, MANY deer graze the lawn in the morning and night. You may get lucky and see our friend named "Hoppy," a three-legged deer. Location Highlights: This property is located within the heart of a highly desirable and popular vacation area, which includes antique shopping in Benton, exploring local wineries and cideries, and golfing at Mill Race. At Ricketts Glen State Park, you can hike one trail to see 21 waterfalls! Lake Jean, located within the park, has rental concessions for rowboats, paddleboats, kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. The lake provides an opportunity to swim, boat, and fish as well. Nearby State Gamelands #13 contains an additional 20 waterfalls, with hiking and mountain biking trails. There are no entrance fees at any Pennsylvania state parks! There are also miles and miles of hiking trails at Worlds End State Park and Loyalsock State Forest. Covered bridges are also a highlight of the area. Eagles Mere, a historic resort town, is a great place to grab coffee, visit a local bookstore, and explore museums such as Eagles Mere Museum and Eagles Mere Air Museum. For guests with kids, America's Largest Free Admission Amusement Park called Knoebels is only 35 miles away. Here, you can take flight on Phoenix, named the #1 wooden roller coaster in the world since 2018, and taste their award-winning comfort food. We’re conveniently located just 30 minutes from Bloomsburg University, making this property a welcoming spot for visiting parents and friends! Guest access This listing is our private property, so there are no shared spaces. Guests may walk on the grassed areas around the house and around the detached garage. Guest may also walk and bike on the nearby roads. Guests do not have access to: all owner’s closets, owner’s detached garage, outdoor trash burn pit, and the entire outdoor wood storage shed areas located behind the house on top of the hill. The well and water hydrant next to the house are also off-limits. Guests can park anywhere on the gravel. The house is located in a quiet rural area, so please respect the privacy of our neighbors by staying within the property lines. Other things to note By booking with us, you have agreed to abide by the house rules. There is no cell phone signal at the house, but we do have wifi available. So, prior to your arrival, you will need to offload maps for the Benton/Ricketts Glen State Park/State Gamelands #13 area using Apple or Google Maps. Cell phone signal can be located within the town limits of Benton, PA, if you require it. We do have exterior security cameras. Please note that a starter pack of paper products and personal toiletries will be available when you check in, however, they will not be updated throughout your stay. Guests are responsible for bringing additional supplies. Be sure to bring your favorite coffee/tea/wine with you to enjoy your stay to the fullest. Where you’ll be: The property is located about 10 minutes to Benton, 10 minutes to Ricketts Glen State Park, 30 minutes to Bloomsburg, 35 minutes to Danville, 40 minutes to Williamsport, 45 minutes to Wilkes-Barre, and 1 hour and 40 minutes to Penn State University.
