Rent your own private island with stunning views of the beautiful Grand-lac-du-cerf. The 3-bedroom cottage is off the grid, but offers all the essential amenities (running water, hot water, gas stove, refrigerator, shower, toilet, solar lighting and wood stove) and even a wood spa! This little paradise is accessible by boat only (5 minutes from the municipal dock). This exclusive retreat offers you the opportunity to disconnect and relax. You will even have a wood-fired Scandinavian bath (spa) to fully relax. Walking on the island, you will instantly feel a sense of tranquility and peace. The sounds of the waves rising on the shore, the rustling of the trees in the breeze and the singing of the birds create a symphony of calm. Sleeping on an island is a unique and unforgettable experience! Just one kilometer from the village, you will feel completely immersed in a different environment and have absolute privacy. You can witness the impressive beauty of a sunset over Lac-du-Cerf and then admire countless sparkling stars creating a fascinating spectacle. Relax in a chalet that has been carefully furnished. The cottage has a full kitchen equipped with all the necessary dishes and kitchen equipment, a gas stove, a full-size fridge/freezer (18 cubic feet) and a sink with running water (cold and hot lake water). The chalet has a real full bathroom with shower, urinal and incineration toilet. There are also 3 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed (one with an additional 2 single bunk beds) and a sofa bed (double) in the living room. There is solar-powered LED lighting and 12v sockets to charge cell phones and other devices using USB charging ports and 60 Mbps internet available. On the balcony you will find a propane BBQ and a dining table. There is 1 dock on each side of the island for mooring your boat depending on the direction of the wind. There is also a pedal boat, paddleboard and canoe at your disposal. There is a small sandy beach on one side of the island and the municipal beach of Parc La Biche (with lifeguard) is accessible by boat in a few minutes, otherwise the lake is full of small isolated places to explore. Grand lac du Cerf is a navigable lake of more than 13 square kilometers and more than 400 feet deep. The water is clear and of exceptional quality because the development of its banks is minimal. The lake is also known for water sports, scuba diving and fishing. There are several species of sport fish such as lake trout (grey trout), walleye, bass, pike and muskellunge. Guest access private parking is reserved for you a few meters from the municipal dock. Please choose from one of the following options to get to the island: A) $0 more: Bring your own boat or canoe to access the island. Boats depart from the municipal dock located 1 km from the island. N.B. A fee of $15 is to be expected for the mandatory washing of your boat. B) For an additional $120: Book a round trip pontoon ride. We coordinate a meeting time at the dock and take you to the island. We arrange a pick-up time to pick you up at the end of your stay. Note: if necessary, we can make additional trips at the same rate during your stay. C) for an additional $200/day: Rent our 21-foot pontoon (capacity of 8 people) with 25hp engine and be completely autonomous to explore the lake at your leisure. Note: Gasoline is at your expense. The entire island is exclusively at your disposal. The island is rugged and not suitable for people with reduced mobility. There is a queen size bed in each bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Toilet paper is provided. Bring your own towels.
