Welcome to Castle View by Yorkshire Escapes. A luxury holiday home in the seaside village of Bamburgh, Northumberland sleeping 16 guests. This is the perfect base to gather with incredible views of Bamburgh Castle and within walking distance of Bamburgh beach. Featuring 8 double bedrooms and a sofa bed, large kitchen/sitting room, large terrace with outdoor seating and within walking distance of the village’s delis, tea rooms, cafes, and pubs, including the popular Potted Lobster restaurant The space Castle View is located on Links road in Bamburgh facing the cricket green and within walking distance of village’s tea rooms, cafes, pubs, delis including the popular Potted Lobster restaurant. Behind Bamburgh Castle is a stunning golf course and the wonderful Bamburgh beach that stretches for miles. Guests enter the house into the hallway with staircase to the first floor and door leading to the large open-plan sitting room and kitchen. The sitting room has large windows on two sides with views towards the castle, large Smart tv, electric fire, comfy sofas and double doors leading to the terrace and garden. The Shaker style modern kitchen with island and bar seats, large range cooker with double oven, grill and induction hob, large fridge/freezer, Belfast sink, two dishwashers and large dining table. Light floods in through the glazed roof lantern and french doors with wonderful views lead out to the garden with outdoor dining table and chairs. There is a separate snug with armchair and a football table, and a utility room. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor with en-suite shower rooms and six further bedrooms all with ensuites, two with roll top baths. Four bedrooms are on the first floor and two on the second floor with lots of character. The terrace is accessed through the French doors with outdoor firepit and table and chairs with wonderful views of the castle and over the fields. There is a sofa bed in an open planned area that can be made up if requested in advance. There is private off road parking to the side of the house for 3 - 4 cars, parking in the village and Links public car park is within walking distance and opposite of the castle (charges do apply). Bamburgh is a stunning, traditional seaside village set in some of the most beautiful Northumberland countryside and packed with local shops, friendly tea-rooms, cosy pubs and restaurants and miles of stunning beaches within walking distance of the village making it one of the most popular beach holiday destinations in England. Bamburgh Castle on the edge of Bamburgh beach is stunning and open daily for visitors. Bamburgh golf course is often quoted as one of the most scenic golf course in Britain with view of Lindisfame. Visitors can enjoy the wonderful fresh seafood at The Potted Lobster located in the heart of the Bamburgh or the Castle Hotel for a cosy pub meal and pretty beer garden and the Victoria Hotel if you like great pub food. The Wyndenwell is a lovely coffee shop and the Copper Kettle is a fun tea-room. The Pantry is a lovely deli selling meats, cheeses, preserves, freshly baked bread and smoked fish. The village butchers, R Carter, serves only locally produced meat and pies. The nearest Co-op supermarket can be found in nearby Seahouses. Bamburgh is close to the town of Alnwick with Alnwick castle and grounds to explore. The nearby fishing town of Seahouses offer a 'seaside village' atmosphere and boat trips to the Farne Islands and Holy Island. Bamburgh is a popular location offering many cycling and walking routes or to enjoy miles and miles of golden sandy beaches. GROUND FLOOR Guests lead into the entrance hall and through to the main hall with staircase leading up to the first floor. The entrance hall leads through to the open plan sitting/kitchen/dining room with comfy sofas and armchairs, smart tv, electric fire, large kitchen island and bar chairs, dining table with seating for 16 guests. Double doors lead from the sitting room and kitchen to the terrace and garden. The shaker style kitchen containing Infusion range cooker with grill, double oven and five zone induction hob. Combo microwave with separate grill, large fridge/freezer with ice machine and water dispenser. Large kitchen island unit with double Belfast sink, two full size dishwashers, and five bar stools. There is a tea and coffee bar in the kitchen with Logik Coffee Machine, sink, fridge, toaster and kettle. Three steps lead down to the utility/boot room with washer/dryer, filter coffee maker, ice maker, bench seating and storage, hanging rail. A door (restricted head height) to the garden. Off the utility room is a ground floor shower room - shower with rainforest head and separate mixer, basin and WC. Directly off the kitchen is a small room/snug area with table football table, board games and a selection of books. Off the entrance hallway: Bedroom 1 - king size bed, side tables, dressing table, bay window with small sofa, decorative fireplace, single wardrobe, wall-mounted Smart TV. En-suite shower room - shower with rainforest head and separate mixer, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Bedroom 2 - king size bed, side tables, dressing table, two armchairs, single wardrobe, cupboard with hanging rail, wall-mounted Smart TV. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 3 - with king size bed, side tables, dressing table, wardrobe, two armchairs, wall-mounted Smart TV. Bedroom 4 - with king size bed, side tables, dressing table, chest of drawers, cupboard with hanging rail, decorative fireplace, wall-mounted Smart TV. Bedroom 5 and 6 - on the first floor accessed from a separate staircase leading from the kitchen/dining room. Bedroom eight - with sofa, king size bed, side tables, chest of drawers, Smart TV and hanging rail. En-suite bathroom with 3/4 roll-top bath, heated towel rail, basin and WC. OUTSIDE Enclosed garden to the rear of the property with views of Bamburgh Castle, spacious patio, wooden outdoor furniture, bench seating an outdoor fireplace (logs not supplied) and charcoal barbecue. Small artificially turfed lawn with large outdoor dining table and chairs. The garden is next to a field separated by a dry stone wall (approximately 55cm in height at its lowest point and 70cm on the side boundary). The field bounds onto the public car park for Bamburgh Castle. Private off-road parking to the side of the property with sufficient space for 3-4 cars. Otherwise village parking or parking in the Links public car park (charges do apply) directly opposite the castle. Guest access The whole property. Other things to note Please let us know if you would like the sofa bed making up Pets - dogs allowed £25 per dog per stay and a maximum of 2 No dogs on furniture or upstairs and please clean up after your dogs.
