Small beachfront room

Keur Tawfekh on the island of Ngor is a roots guesthouse ideal for adventurers and surfers. Without luxury or modern comfort, our original living spaces prioritize simplicity and authenticity. A stone's throw from the best surf breaks, it offers a warm atmosphere where art, exchanges and discoveries meet. Perfect for souls looking for a change of scenery and real experiences. The space Our home is located an extensive plot on the island next to the cliff and ocean. It's our living space, we sleep there, we work there and we share it. The bay beach is 50m away The 4 cabins are secluded at the back of the house, quiet ( except the sound of the waves), facing the ocean. Only Airbnb tenants are allowed to access this part. In the middle there are the common areas, our 2 private bedrooms, the 2 outdoor lounges and our art gallery. At the entrance the small garden and our family farm, a few sheep and chickens. There is a front access that leads to the beach and a back access (inaccessible in the evening for security) that overlooks the cliff and ocean. Guest access There are many spaces to share or isolate according to the desire of the moment. During your stay There's always someone there. Me and my wife or Moustapha. We are always a phone call. Other things to note WiFi is available on a limited and on-demand basis. It's a graceful connection sharing. Ideally we advise you to buy a sim card at the airport. It costs 1000fcfa. Then you can load credit and turn it into a pass from any store. We are powered by solar sheds. Your phones are loaded from 9am to 5pm in our room. We can't load your computers. The bathroom is minimalist. You fill your bucket at the entrance of the shower and you have it with a broc. The shower is outdoor. There is no water heater. The toilet is a "Turkish" toilet. This is about hygiene. It's easy to wash them several times a day. There are no cleaning staff at home. We take care of the whole cleaning ourselves and count on you not to dirty excessively. Also, please do not keep food in the rooms at the risk of attracting and retaining an army of ants. The kitchenette is ultra basic. There's no fridge. You can also contribute to share lunch or dinner with us. On the island you will find 3 shops where you can buy the basics. Otherwise there are shops in the village of Ngor on the mainland and supermarkets a few minutes walk away. At the house everything was done by our hands little by little. We started from a ruin and we modestly try to improve it ( knowing that we are tenants...) It's not the great luxury but we try to make you feel good. Our house is modest but it is a peaceful and refreshing place for those who know how to appreciate simplicity.
