The Porter 1830

The Porter House, built in 1830-1850, is located in the heart of Raymond, MS. The home has two bedrooms upstairs each with full bathrooms and separated by a well-stocked coffee bar. The Porter House has a beautiful garden with fire pit and chairs. The Porter House is 5 minutes off of the Natchez Trace, 15 minutes from Clinton, and 30 minutes from Ridgeland/Jackson. If you are looking for a break from work-trip hotel stays or a weekend getaway, we will make your time here relaxing and memorable! The space The bedrooms are located upstairs. Because the house was built in 1830-1850, the stairs are very steep and the banister at the top landing is not up to present day building code standards. If you have issues walking upstairs, or have small children, please consider this before booking. The house is made of two separate sections. We live in the back, separate living area. The main house that we rent out does not have a kitchen. However, we do provide a refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot and microwave. There is also a coffee pot and small frig located upstairs. Guest access Guests can access the entire upstairs and downstairs in the main part of the house. A keypad is available to open the front door.
