Imagine a private, breathtaking experience on a ranch in a redwood valley. You have discovered a one of kind place where the wind carries the sweet scent of apple blossoms in the evening, and the stars light the paths after dusk. Forest View Ranch an 80-acre working ranch in the Russian River Valley, with seasonal Fife creek that supports an ecosystem of vital native plants and animals who share the land. Throughout the year a variety of flowers, birds, butterflies, and other wildlife make their home at the ranch. The ranch is nestled among the majestic ancient redwoods of the Pacific Northwest. They are impressive reminders of how we are stewards of this extraordinary place and our time with them is sacred. If you’re tired of being cooped up at home, but not ready to travel somewhere busy, Forest View Ranch is the place for you! If you are working remotely and the kids are distance learning we have powerful WiFi boosters allowing you to work and learn poolside or under the redwoods. Take your office and classroom outside! When you are done with the day you have 80 acres of ranch and forest to enjoy. Awaken with the sun spilling a gentle warm blanket over the redwoods, walk the grounds and be greeted by butterflies and hummingbirds finding nectar in our gardens. Hike the paths that surround our ranch, enjoy cooking with the seasons in our outdoor kitchens, bask in the sun, and take a swim in the pool. Relax and enjoy all the unique areas made for impromptu picnics. Take a calming hot bath in our outdoor tubs. Enjoy evenings filled with the beauty of star-filled skies and stories by a campfire. On the western edge of the ranch there is a custom tree house which was built by your host Fred for his children. Next to the tree house is a rope swing and rock sculpture. Because a ranch isn’t a ranch without eggs, Forest View Ranch hosts chickens and ducks as our permanent feather ambassadors. You are welcome to ask them to share their eggs. TESTIMONIAL: "BOOK IT! You will not be sorry. The only thing I’m sorry about is telling others about this place, fearing it won’t be available when I want to book a return trip! Fred and Tania are amazing. We enjoyed our conversations with them immensely, and they were just the right amount of attentive. They even gave us one of their first beautiful blooms from a Lily they’d just cut from the garden. It kept our room smelling glorious our whole stay! The property is fantastic for families or couples looking to get away from the hustle. You can tell they care greatly for the land with which they are entrusted. If you go at the right time, you too may be gifted a first pressing of Gravenstein Apple Cider! Oh my goodness, such yummy-ness. Again, you won’t be sorry you stayed here! We just got home to our own house and are looking forward to going back!” Stephanie - Florence, OR RANCH AMENITIES: • One of a kind views of nature • Private Trails on 80 acres • Apple, Plum, Peach, and Pear Orchards, Greenhouse and Flower Gardens • Beautiful 1 acre organic garden • 1 Screened-in Kitchen - Seasonal fresh garden vegetables delivered • 3 Fire Pits • Handmade Redwood Walking Bridge with trees from the Ranch • Observation/ Yoga Platform in the redwoods • Swimming Pool (solar heated, available April - October) • Bicycles • Treehouse for kids • Hammock overlooking Fife Creek • 2 Outdoor bathtubs and outdoor plumbed restrooms. • Outdoor Redwood Shower • Additional single bed cot available • 80 acres nestled in a fertile valley along Fife Creek • Chickens and fresh eggs, ducks and seasonal pigs live on our Family Ranch GUEST ACCESS: The Ranch Suite comes with a private lawn and separate entrance with your own private driveway.
