Cozy Cabin by Tulpehocken Creek
Cozy Cabin by Tulpehocken Creek
Description
Come settle in at our 1800s stone cottage nestled along a bend in the road. Minutes away from Blue Marsh Lake, downtown West Reading, premier fishing, Grings Mill Recreation Area, Reading Regional Airport, Santander Arena, shopping, restaurants, breweries and more. The space Our one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage is full of original, quirky character, equipped with all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Enjoy a full kitchen and living area with original exposed beams. A first-floor, bi-level bathroom has double sinks, a walk-in shower, toilet room, soaking tub, and partially heated floors. Upstairs, find a lofted living space with an easy-to-pull-out couch, TV, and desk. The attached bedroom features a queen bed and roomy closet area. Enjoy the outdoors on a patio area next to the house, or check out the in-ground fire pit near the woods. Our half-acre of wooded land is yours to explore. As with many old houses, we are situated close to the road. For awareness, the street may be busier/noisier at certain times of the day, but thick walls and the surrounding woodlands typically make it a non-issue. Please note: The cottage is not handicap friendly and requires walking down a sloped stone and brick path. Having called this home for the past few years, we hope you find it to have all the conveniences, flow and peaceful ease that we so enjoy. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and property except for the unfinished basement and garage. Other things to note Rates may increase in the winter due to utility and snow removal costs. Snow feels magical at the cabin, and we hope you get to experience it! Please note that we will handle routine removal before and after stays, and will provide a shovel and salt for your use as needed. In the case of significant snowfall during your stay, we'll ensure the driveway and front door path get cleared - though timing will be dependent on availability and storm conditions.
