Hidden Hill - Cozy Downtown Cottage with Hot Tub!!
Hidden Hill is a renovated 1880’s cottage tucked away just above historic downtown Berkeley Springs. Xfinity high speed internet! Literally steps from spas, restaurants, art, antiques, and nightlife, this cottage also feels hidden just above downtown. Hidden Hill is a great spot to stay while enjoying everything Berkeley Springs has to offer. Explore everything West Virginia has to offer during the day, then retreat to Hidden Hill for the convenience of restaurants and bars at your doorstep. The space !!December Special!! Built in 1880, this home used to be owned by the owner of the Berkeley Springs Castle. It is situated about a story above the other homes around it in downtown Berkeley Springs. After a steep walk up the driveway, you are greeted by the entrance and side deck of the cottage. Walk thru the French doors into the living room. Off the living room is an eat-in kitchen, a bathroom with dry vanity just outside, two bedrooms, and a laundry room. Walk upstairs to a reading nook with a chair and futon. Beyond the reading nook is another bedroom. Search "hidden hill Berkeley Springs" on YouTube for a short video of the property. This home has 3 bedrooms and multiple sleeping options with the futon upstairs and couch downstairs. Other things to know: Early Check In: Early check in is not available. Sorry! Pet Policy: One well behaved pet up to 40lbs is welcome to accompany you on your stay. Owners agree to be militant about cleaning up hair and poo. While some guests may pay a cleaning fee, a pet fee is not collected. If the need extra cleaning as a result of hair or is damaged as a result of their pup, owners will be charged. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage. Other things to note -The cottage is situated below a grade into town. Street noise is present at the entrance of cottage (where the grill and fire pit are). Street noise is faint in the upstairs, but muted downstairs. The hot tub and lower deck are muted and secluded. -Harold the hot tub guy services the hot tub each WEDNESDAY during business hours. If you see an old guy fiddling with the tub, don't call the sheriff! -Shade sails are up on the deck Mothers Day through Halloween. -TRASH DAY - Trash day is Thursday and a high school student will come and get the trash from the bins and place them down at the end of the driveway. He will return and move the bins back up later on Thursday after the trash has been collected. -The driveway is steep! Guests are welcome to park at the entrance to the driveway use close by street parking. -Streaming TV only (no cable) -Pet owners agree to disclose the addition of their furry friend under 40lbs. They agree to be militant about cleaning up hair and poo and agree to pay any charges relating to extra cleaning or damage caused by your pup. -Cats live in the house below the cottage and they roam. Feel free to take one home with you :). -The cottage has a $35 cleaning fee and some minor cleaning when departing.
