Located 50 minutes from West Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park, 75 from Grand Teton National Park, 40 from Grand Targhee, 20 minutes to Harriman State Park, Mesa Falls, 5 minutes to Ashton-Teton trail or Ora Bridge put-in for excellent fly fishing on Henry's fork. Ashton house is the hub for all southeastern Idaho's outdoor adventures. Whatever season, there's plenty to do. Fishing, hiking, biking, boating and more in warm seasons. Snowmobiling, downhill and cross country skiing in winter. The space SPECIAL NOTE! WINTER 2024-2025, November-March. 2 night stays are open now. REMOTE WORKERS! If you're looking for a change of scenery for 30 days or more, inquire within!! I will need a little lead time on those requests, a week. These will be whole-house stays, all inclusive. We're located on the north side of Ashton just off US 20. Easy access to everything, groceries, gas, restaurants, hardware stores, a laundromat, Family Dollar, and a great town park. A quiet, family-oriented neighborhood, we are on a .5 acre lot, with a large yard and adjoining undeveloped lots. Great for kids and pets. If you are hauling boats or other toys on trailers, there's room. No through parking but pretty easy backing. Guests will stay in one half of the house in complete privacy. Interaction with me, your host, is at whatever level you want. I am sometimes here, sometimes not. When I am here I keep a low profile. You will probably see more of my old Golden Retriever than me. You will be in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood. There is a great, well-maintained kids' park two blocks away. Additionally, there are basketball and tennis courts as well as a small swimming pool. During winter, this is a whole-house rental. That includes an additional Master bed/bath, kitchen, dining, and living rooms. Garage. Guest access The house is one level. At this time there is not wheelchair access- sorry. Working on it. We've split the house in half basically. The guest area is made up of rooms off a hallway, all connected. There are two bedrooms, one King with a TV, gas stove, electric heat and one Queen with, closet, electric heat. Both rooms have clothing storage, ceiling fans and windows. The King room is the only direct outside access, BUT... ask, there are alternatives for the Queen access if necessary. The bedrooms have touch lamps that are equipped with USB, USB-C outlets for charging phones etc. There are pet bed covers if your pet sleeps with you. There is one full bath, shared by guests. Standard amenities. Hair dryer. Fire extinguisher in bathroom under sink. There is a laundry room that guests can use for standard laundry needs. Please, no pet blankets, seat covers etc. There is a laundromat two blocks away. There is also a small kitchenette affair in the laundry area as well. There is a blender, coffeemaker, ground coffee, small refrigerator, and microwave provided as well as some basic utensils, and stuff to dress up your coffee and make a quick meal. Sorry, no kitchen sink! There's a deck attached to the house and guest entry which guests are free to use. There is yard/deck furniture for summer months. Additionally, there will be a smaller portable Weber grill available for burgers and hotdogs. Parking is off street. There is room for your toy hauler or boat trailer. There will be availability beginning in 2025 to have access to the whole house for extended stays (4-6 weeks) during the late fall, winter, early spring months. During your stay You can message me anytime. I will be on premises or nearby some of the time. Direct interaction is entirely up to you. I am sociable by nature so always happy to visit, answer questions, chat about the weather etc. Other things to note In Winter 2025 we will be opening the entire place up for monthly or multi-month rentals. Multi-month rental are somewhat negotiable. Inquire within. As you will see, I have added my photographic prints as much of the wall decor. There is also a desktop photography book of my images. I do sell prints. I am also happy to share my experiences as well as suggestions, local knowledge on photographic possibilities. I may at some point offer this as an Airbnb experience.
