THE ACCOMMODATION The villa, measuring approximately 105 sqm, has a private entrance, is arranged over two levels and can accommodate up to seven guests. From the property, guests can enjoy a partial view of Lake Maggiore and a pleasant panoramic view. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed, suitable for up to three guests, a second bedroom with a double sofa bed for another two guests, and a bathroom with bathtub/shower. On the first floor there is a spacious and bright living room with a sofa bed for two guests, a well-equipped kitchenette and a second bathroom. The interiors are furnished in a modern and functional style and offer a good level of comfort for both short stays and longer holidays. OUTDOOR AREAS One of the main highlights of Casa Shila is its private outdoor space. On the ground floor there is a pleasant covered porch, ideal for starting the day with breakfast outdoors or enjoying convivial moments over lunch and dinner. The private garden is fully fenced and provides a pleasant space to relax outdoors, particularly suitable for families with children and guests travelling with their pet. During the summer season, guests can also use the outdoor hot tub, ideal for cooling off on warmer days and enjoying pleasant moments of relaxation. A barbecue is also available, perfect for preparing grilled meals and enjoying lunch and dinner outdoors. Two private parking spaces are available inside the garden, allowing guests to park conveniently throughout their stay. LOCATION AND TRANSPORT Thanks to its hillside location, several walking trails can be found in the immediate vicinity of the villa, offering pleasant walks through nature, some with panoramic views of Lake Maggiore. Luino railway station can be reached in about ten minutes and is also a useful option for guests who wish to take some excursions without necessarily using a car. The airport can be reached in approximately fifty minutes by car. ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES Casa Shila is well equipped to provide a practical and comfortable stay, including for longer holidays. The kitchenette includes a hob, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and the utensils needed to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner during the stay. Guests can also enjoy free Wi-Fi, ideal both for leisure and for those who wish to stay connected during their holiday. A washing machine is also available, which is particularly convenient for families and longer stays. Continuing north, you can reach Maccagno con Pino e Veddasca, home to the Parco Giona beach, characterised by a large green area with trees extending close to the lakeshore. Among the most fascinating excursions on Lake Maggiore are the Borromean Islands. Isola Bella is known for Palazzo Borromeo and its spectacular Baroque gardens. Isola Madre, the largest island in the archipelago, is renowned for its important botanical garden, while Isola dei Pescatori retains the atmosphere of a traditional lakeside village with narrow streets, restaurants and small shops. The three islands can be reached by boat and are among the most characteristic excursions to enjoy during a holiday on Lake Maggiore. Stresa is also well worth a visit and is one of the best-known tourist destinations on the lake. Located on the Piedmont shore, it is characterised by elegant villas, historic buildings, gardens and a pleasant lakeside promenade overlooking the mountains and the Borromean Islands. Como, approximately one hour away by car, is another interesting destination for a day exploring the lakes and cities of northern Italy. Milan can also be reached using the railway connections from Luino station. Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to the entire accommodation, with no shared spaces with other people, ensuring maximum privacy and independence throughout their stay. All indoor areas are fully available to guests, including the living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and balcony, allowing them to enjoy the accommodation in complete freedom and comfort. The accommodation is for the exclusive use of guests for the entire duration of their stay, in accordance with the booking conditions and house rules. Other things to note SECURITY DEPOSIT A few days before arrival, guests are required to pay a security deposit to cover any potential damage to the accommodation. The deposit will be refunded three days after departure. KEY HANDOVER Keys are handed over at our office located in the centre of Luino, and guests may park in our private parking area in front of the office for the time needed to collect the keys. We manage several accommodations around Lake Maggiore and, depending on the accommodation booked, our office may be located in a different municipality from the one where the accommodation is situated. In any case, the travel time between our office, located in the centre of Luino, and the accommodation is approximately 5 to 15 minutes, depending on its location. Key handover hours Key handover at our office takes place from 15:00 to 17:00. Expected arrival between 17:00 and 19:00 Guests who expect to arrive after 17:00 but no later than 19:00 should inform us, and we will wait for them at the office. Arrival after 19:00 For arrivals after 19:00, guests must inform us promptly, and the key handover procedure will be communicated. An additional fee of € 30.00 applies for this service. Key delivery at the accommodation by 19:00 If guests are unable to reach our office, for example because they are arriving by train, they may request, a few days in advance, to have the keys delivered directly to the accommodation. A member of our staff will deliver the keys within thirty minutes of the guest’s arrival at the accommodation. This service is available exclusively at the booked accommodation, and the delivery procedure will be communicated.
