The space About the Bungalow: We’ve specifically designed this inviting space to be a cozy retreat after a day of adventures beach-combing, exploring, or simply taking in the breathtaking views. We provide two free Wilderness Systems sit-on-top kayaks with kayak carts, paddles, surf body-boards, beach chairs, umbrella, and beach cooler. Curl up with a book by the Vermont Castings wood-stove, cook a delicious meal in the new fully equipped kitchen, or enjoy the serenity and ocean views right from the comfort of your own space. A private keyed entry makes arrival simple and easy to begin your retreat. Sit back in your Adirondack chair and enjoy watching the Pacific Ocean waves rolling ashore from the front deck while listening to the small gentle creek trickle beside the property. Your comfort and health are essential and important considerations. Both king and queen beds have Tempur-Pedic mattresses fitted with soft high quality linens that are professionally cleaned. Our American Leather King Comfort Sleeper® features 8" more sleeping space than a traditional sleeper with a true 80" of sleeping space on a 4" plush, high-density Tempur-Pedic® mattress. Low fragrance eco-friendly cleaning supplies are used to ensure an enjoyable stay for guests with sensitivities. A warm water hose & dry towels are easily located right outside the side deck, great for washing sand off your shoes and your dog's paws. Whatever your adventure, Heron's Hearth is your special home away from home after a day adventuring or combing the beach. Our Kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to easily prepare any meal. About Cape Meares: Cape Meares is a hidden gem on the Oregon Coast, a peaceful community where the forest and dramtic ocean cliffs meet the sea. Known for its quiet beaches, protected costal bird habitat, stunning coastal views, local fishing and lake access and the iconic Cape Meares Lighthouse, this tiny town offers the perfect blend of nature, adventure, and relaxation. Whether you're poking at sea anemones and star fish in the tide pools, mushroom hiking through the lush forest, or just soaking in the sunset from the beach, Cape Meares will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The best part? Heron’s Hearth is just steps away from the beach! Whether you're an early riser wanting to catch a glimpse at the local elk on the beach, the sunset over the Pacific, or you prefer an evening stroll along the shore, the beach is practically at your doorstep. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the local herons—our feathered neighbors and the deer who walk by the house every night! We want your time here to be relaxing and carefree. Other things to note Be sure to bring all your groceries and DRY firewood for your stay BEFORE you arrive. The closest town is Tillamook and it is 15 minutes away. Even though we provide kayaks, the closest lake is a 1/2 mile away. We have provided kayak carts so you may carry the kayaks to the put-in site, however access to the water through this put-in can only be accessed when the water is high, during spring and early summer months. There are other put-in sites on the lake , however, you may need to transport the kayaks on your own to the alternative put-in site further away.
