Opened in Oct. 24 with all the comforts of home and a fully equipped kitchen. Set on one acre with beach frontage and panoramic views of stunning Teouma Bay. Created as a ‘couples retreat’, not just a stay, but an experience. Fall asleep to the soothing sound of gentle waves from your comfortable king bed, then waken to the glorious vista of the bay. Cool off in the crystal clear deep natural pool directly out front or snorkel and explore the amazing reef, just metres from your own beach. The space Relax on the large furnished veranda with alfresco dining. Lounge on the couch, lie back in the hammock, have a nap, read a book or just gaze at the breathtaking beauty of Teouma Bay. A fare (traditional island hut), with another seating area, is positioned to overlook the bay and right out to the ocean. From here, the views and fiery sunsets are a spectacular sight! The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances – fridge/freezer, gas top cooker, slow cooker, air fryer, espresso coffee maker, microwave etc. If you feel like a break from cooking, the luxurious 5-star Tamanu on the Beach resort is a short six minute drive further on around the bay. With panoramic views of the ocean from their beachfront restaurant, Tamanu is renowned for its superb dining and visited by most guests. Soaring wood clad ceilings create space and light, and all windows/doors have crimsafe screens. Air conditioned with ceiling fans, and many louver windows. Please note: If you struggle with the heat, check your accommodation has air conditioning before booking. The spacious bedroom features a king size bed topped with a Deep Dream mattress and a wardrobe with shelves and hanging space. Often guests exclaim how comfortable the bed is and enjoy wonderful sleep! Large screen TV with Netflix and internet provided as well as games and novels for when you just want to chill. The large, crystal clear deep sea pool is just meters from the deck and fare. The calm turquoise water is accessible by a concrete walkway. The sea pool leads to the stunning coral reef with abundant sea life. Rinse off in the outdoor shower for after a swim/snorkel. Please note: pack reef shoes as it is a coral beach The Bay House attracts not only couples, but solo travellers seeking solace. Sometimes we just need to take a little time for ourselves, to unwind, relax and reconnect.... The Bay House is 19 km from the airport and 14km to Port Vila Central where you will find numerous restaurants, many of them waterside. The Bay House is also in close proximity to many attractions; Blue Lagoon, Banana Bay Beach Club, Eden on the River, Rentapo River Kayaking, Off Road Adventures, Pepeyo Cultural Village and more… 🏝️ Guest access The entire property is for guests to access. Other things to note Car hire is highly recommended; with your own transport you will then be able to visit the many attractions on the island at your leisure and have the freedom to explore. Most guests use World Car Rentals. Feedback is they are easy to communicate with from overseas, are professional and have quite a large fleet of good quality cars. Search ‘Hotspot Vanuatu’ to get a 15% off voucher. Mention you have this if choosing to hire from them. If you don’t wish to drive on the island, I have a number of drivers that can pick you up from the airport and bring you to The Bay House, stopping at the supermarket on the way out. Not wanting to hire a car but want to sightsee? Easy, just get a lift into town then catch buses (van’s that zip around Port Vila) for approx $2 aus. per ride, a bit more if wanting to go further out. You can also hook up with tours from Port Vila. Tamanu on the Beach resort (mentioned previously) offer a free shuttle service if you make a dinner reservation at their restaurant. ‘Eat, play, relax in Vanuatu’ a GUIDEBOOK which I have created which you will find under ‘MEET YOUR HOST’ (just tap on my profile pic) on this site. It has sightseeing and dining suggestions that myself and guests have enjoyed or have great reviews. There are no shops out this way, but Au Bon Marche Manples is a fully stocked supermarket a 5 min drive from the airport on the way out to The Bay House. There is also an open air fruit & veg market next to it. Please note: You can purchase alcohol from the supermarkets but not after 12 pm Saturday and all day Sunday. I live on the property and am at your service when needed, otherwise you will be left in total privacy to enjoy the peace & stillness. At times you might see me or my gardener pottering around or I might enjoy a snorkel/swim out front. Please note: The Bay House is not suitable for infants or children.
