Oak floors and ceramic tile in the kitchen with built-ins and granite counter tops, a full bathroom with a claw-foot tub and dual-head shower. With lots of amenities, this house is recently updated, inviting you in to enjoy a comfortable stay. Forests, fields and treehouse for fun, big yard, and 5 minutes from the village! The space Sweetbrier Cottage is an iconic Lopez style home. You will love this special wood beamed, rustic , craftsman two-bedroom (one queen, and one full bed, with a queen sofa bed and single sleeping nook in the kitchen), one bath cottage. The high vaulted ceilings provide this home with an open and spacious feeling. Lopez is known for its farms and agriculture, and this home is the perfect spot to enjoy its territorial view of fields and forest, ponds and orchards. There are cows grazing in distant fields, lots of native raptors, owl and other birds to see. You will love the layout of this home, enjoying the front porch and yard (croquet or frisbee, anyone?) or you can cozy up to the fireplace in the living room. The kitchen is terrific, with roomy stone counters, built in oven, microwave and dishwasher, and lots of kitchen tools. The bedrooms are very comfortable, great for lounging, with storage for clothes, night tables, and skylights you can close if you wish. The bathroom has a beautiful clawfoot tub, and a two headed shower, new tile and skylights. Other features in this home include the 55" tv with soundbar, bluetooth music speaker in the kitchen, a covered barbecue area, and full laundry. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the house, yard, and driveway. This cottage is part of a bigger property, please observe the 'End of Property' signs. There are fields and woods attached which guests can enter at their own risk. There's parking for three cars at the end of the driveway, please obey "please close the gate" signs. Other things to note Lopez village is a short 5 minute drive away, with several markets and restaurants, including great coffee and bakery locations. Parks abound for hikes, there are several different beach walks, and opportunities for bicycle riding on the beautiful roads. This home has a fully functional laundry room, propane barbecue, and a sweet treehouse, with a loft in the main house. Caution must be used when accessing the loft and treehouse, at your own risk. Lopez Island residential internet speeds, bandwidth and reliability currently lag behind the mainland. Guests who wish to use videoconferencing, streaming services or multiple simultaneous internet connections should be aware that performance may not meet the levels they are accustomed to.
