Ten minutes' walk to Matsumoto Castle and Matsumoto Station; seven to Aeon Mall, so longer stays are easy. Free Wi-Fi, Netflix, washer, all cookware provided. Self check-in by keybox, any hour of the night. Upstairs, a mizuya — the preparation room of the Japanese tea ceremony — remains as it was. Stone lanes and white storehouse walls outside. Less like visiting Matsumoto than living in it. Other things to note Please note the following house rules: Parties and loud gatherings are strictly prohibited. Please remove your shoes before entering the rooms. Smoking is not permitted indoors. Smoking is allowed only on the second-floor balcony, and smoking in front of the building is strictly prohibited. If more guests stay than were booked, or if the number of guests declared at booking is incorrect, a penalty of ¥5,000 per additional or undeclared guest will be charged. Any damage to fixtures, appliances, or amenities will be charged at the cost of replacing the item with an equivalent new one. Thank you for your understanding. — Matsumoto City Accommodation Tax Since 1 June 2026, Matsumoto City has levied an accommodation tax to support sustainable tourism. The tax is ¥200 per guest per night, of which ¥100 goes to Nagano Prefecture. At our house the tax is already included in the price you pay at booking, so there is nothing extra to pay on arrival.
